View from the Away End

Its been quite a week. Do we really care what happens tomorrow, in the grand scheme of things? Have to admit, I am not a huge fan of the CL, but I will be thrilled when we finally win it. Having said that, I do care about this game, and I want three points. I sense that the away fans are a little misinformed. Not much confidence here.

COME ON CITY!!!

Referee: David Coote
Assistants: Marc Perry, Nick Hopton
Fourth official: Stuart Attwell
VAR: Jonathan Moss
Assistant VAR: Gary Beswick

Team Selection

Guaita

Ward Kouyate Dann PvA

Zaha Riedewald Luka Eze Ayew

Benteke

And the rest…

We are relatively rested with one game in three weeks, whereas they have played many and are hungry for success.See nothing other than a 3-0 hammering.

Just because Man City are so rich and pampered, it's one game we might give 100% effort in. Basically like wanting to show them up. I'm convinced if a team gives its all they have a chance against anyone. The lack of effort is probably my biggest gripe about our current performances.

A comfortable cruise control 3-0 victory for City.

I guess they are serious about taking the League Title on Saturday against us as they rested Stirling, Aguero and Jesus against PSG so they can be fresh for the match against us. On that basis we will probably only lose 4-0

City probably will put out their "B" team and then they will thrash us with no mercy ... bit like a practice game for them; we capitulate with no ambition. Mateta comes on at the 80th minute and Roy mutters about us giving a good fight against a formidable squad.

They’ll be on a bit of a come down from the heights of PSG to Smelhurst park a few days later, so I think we’ll get a result, they’ll toy with us and only score 3
Sadly their second 11 would probably beat our strongest 1st 11 and although we will try as ever they can pass through us. Having said that I believe it will be close so a 1-2.

Think we could aspire to a good result for us,losing only 4-1 to the Champions Elect.

Have to say I can't get remotely interested in any match involving the Big6 anymore, particularly City... they've spent squillions, they win most matches, wow - what a surprise, it's barely 'sport'.

Doesn’t matter who we play and what formation we adopt. City will play their “second string” and win with ease.

They are playing a different sport to us. They will play their 'reserves' stay in second gear and win comfortably.

The 9 Man City subs will probably be worth about half a billion quid between them, and that's before you even look at the starting 11.

If we really want to play Man City on a level playing field, we should be able to fill the corners of our goal with suitcases containing millions of petrodollars and have slaves taking turns to fill and then drain the halves of our pitch with a lake of oil, to inhibit Citeh's slick, billion dollar passing. Then we might have a chance…I'm thinking seriously of only tuning in from the second half, on the condition that we are not losing. Such a match is so far away from being 'sport' that it would be laughable, if it wasn't so sad.

Even after their game midweek and them resting a few it will be a comfortable 3 or 4 nil to city. Aguero and Jesus will likely start along with Sterling, Ferran Torres, Mendy, Fernandinho, Laporte who all didn’t play midweek. That’s 7 fresh legs plus Ederson. To be fair they could play with those 8 and it would still be no contest.

Cheers CM

Can't believe how negative they are. I mean, they are a poor defensive side with one of the more unadventurous managers, but even so. They must realise our main focus will be on the CL game

Take any old win and wouldn't be too disappointed with a draw to be honest

How powerful the "anti City = finance" media hype has been.
That other fans just take for granted, without any rational thought, that money = unfair success, without any consideration of the hard work put in, on a daily basis by Pep and his coaching staff and the players training that has improved their technique coupledwith a hugely strong mental approach.

I seemto have read this shite time and time again from opposingfans.

utter shite

They don’t half fall for the media spin these cunts, I mean, look at this -:

If we really want to play Man City on a level playing field, we should be able to fill the corners of our goal with suitcases containing millions of petrodollars and have slaves taking turns to fill and then drain the halves of our pitch with a lake of oil, to inhibit Citeh's slick, billion dollar passing. Laughable really. The old adage throw enough shit at the wall and it will stick . Isn’t Palace where that cunt Simon Jordon is in charge , if so it fucking figures .

If there is any justice, teams like Nottingham Forest, Sheffield Wednesday and so forth with their fan base and heritage should be in prem not third rate tiny cockney bowling club, who are these rent boy clowns with their10 fanbase to judge us?

Yeah, I agree totally. To easy to just say that we are loaded. Fuck sake, United still makes loads of money, they are performing badly compared to us. Its down to the management and the strategies and plans put forward by them that come to fruition. We tend not to buy superstars, and I hope that continues.
