Best football I've ever seen in my life

Said Dean Ashton on talksport.

About the 2nd half v PSG

Not a man with any axe to grind it seems to me

Nice to hear. Maybe the media red bias starts to fade?

When he was Crewe and constantly linked to us, the word was he was a City fan growing up.

In years to come we'll look back on this City side and realise how lucky we were to witness this phenomenal team.

They have been a joy to watch this season.

I remember that being repeated over and over.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

They are a joy to watch, however they can become victims of their own success, i.e. if the are not playing to the usual standards it invites criticism from fans and foe alike, I am as guilty as most, they are only human and therefore subject to error, but because of the rewards they receive fans do not always tolerate sub par performances

The season we were in the Championship with Keegan there was a host of obvious talent that season we could have got on the cheap.

Off the top of my head Lescott, Ashton, Jason Koumas and Tim Cahill were all players we came up against and it was clear would play at a much higher level. Instead of Ashton, Keegan signed Macken and lined his mate Willie McKay's pockets with a bunch of duds.

It was nearly 20 years ago now but I still hold a grudge :-)

I remember him destroying us in a cup tie against the Hammers at COMS back in the day.

Was that the night someone walked up Samaras’s back and effectively scared him from ever being a man again?

No, gorgeous George was out injured for that game. I know what you're talking about, but can't remember who it was against.
