Since he has took over he has done a very good job solidifying them defensively. Whether people think he will be in charge of Chelsea next December is also irrelevant, we are where we are now, and they are a very decent and dangerous outfit at the moment.
In the final they wont come out to play too much, they will play a counter attacking game. I hate when we play teams like that, we can and have got caught out in the past pressing high against such sides. They will be very hard to breakdown and they have pace upfront.
If we play well our best 11 beats their best 11 probably eight times out of ten. But this is not a procession to a CL title, far from it.
I am cautiously optimistic, it will be a tight tense tactical low scoring game. I don't expect an open free flowing classic, too much at stake, were not going to get it.
I hope we are practicing our penalties, as it may well go to penalties.
We have to put it into perspective, Foden, Gundo didn't start, our best defensive duo Dias and Stones werent involved, kev got injured half way, Zinch and Walker and Mahrez didn't play. You could debate some of these players wouldn't made a difference, however Mahrez, Foden, Gundo, keV fearing for 90 min was a big factor. A fit Aguero is a huge boost and an option to have, he always tends to do well against Chavs. You could also debate the formation was piss poor that day. The media frenzy will have you believe they got the edge, in a way I'm glad we're not the clear favourites, remember Wigan, we all thought it was walk in the park? As long as we stick to our principles, no brain farts, play our best 11, no stupid mistakes, confidence but not cocky then we should do well. I'm not confident but optimistic of our chances.
