Makes sense, see my previous post, loads of options in UK, however I understand the Millennium stadium is a Covid hospital facility at the moment

Villa Park used to be a good venue for semi finals of the fa cup and I don’t suppose capacity is an issue.

Can’t imagine Arsenal, Spurs or Rags offering their places without wanting a huge fee. Be nice to give it to Villa, a club with proper history! Could have an extra 20,000 fans at £150 a head to pay compensation to the Turks. Everyone wins.

It’s not backing down is it? I know we are biased but surely holding it in the UK just makes sense.

Nothing makes sense anymore, diabolical decisions being taken almost everywhere and the public just take it .

Let’s not forget a Chelsea v Arsenal Europa League final in 2019 was played in Baku. A city nearly as close to Beijing as London.

UEFA are morons interested only in lining their own pockets with kick backs and the like. There will have been a lot of money that’s changed hands in order for Istanbul to be given the gig and you can’t envisage the chief dogs wanting to return any of it any time soon

Pretty silly discussion so far . Either it is played in "Green" England , avoiding a carbon footprint . oh and Covid. Or it's played in Istanbul.

Anywhere else , at the moment has logistics and Covid problems.

Said as much to my mate earlier, problem is villa Park putting seating aside looks the same as it did in 81.

UEFA cunts like a spangly new stadium or one thats been given a makeover.

Could Cardiff be a contender as Wembley is being used for play offs?

I also heard spuds had offered their spangly new stadium, which if uefa can be convinced for a UK venue could be a contender
