Yep no doubting that. The old adage of telling people over and over the same thing until it becomes true works for the majority of the armchair fans around this country and thats where the money is
The more I see of it, the happier it makes me to be honest as it ramps up when we continue to be a success and it breaks their hearts

Was talking a few months back before covid with a Villa fan and he was saying we give free tickets, half of the stadiums is full with free tickets (?!) asked him for a link, then dropped him a few official links we have the second revenue in the league. Of course, is not like a convinced him, he went on talking shite.
Now I resume to give this when I hear this shit (but have to admit I get annoyed from time to time):

I’ve just read a quote from Pep over the last day or two... “There’s not much history in this club, but we are starting to build it.”

Can anyone link me to the original quote? I’m sure he’s not come out with that bollocks, and it’s been dissected to get to that, but I can’t find the interview anywhere.

Cheers mate. I can’t find the “there’s not much history in this club” part and I’m hoping it wasn’t said because Pep should know better.

I know what he means, he means specifically in the CL there’s not much history. But he knows full well what the media are like, so to give them that sound bite is silly.

He said that or something very similar in his post match interview on Wednesday. TBH, I was only half listening, heard that and thought I'd misheard.
In fairness I think he was talking about history in the CL

I found the video, but I think you'll need a bt account to play it.

https://www.bt.com/sport/watch/video/cl ... ibly-happy

He actually says "It's the second time we've got to the semi finals, it's not much history in our club here, but we start to build it."

He was obviously talking about history in the CL league, but it'll no doubt get twisted into something else.

Brilliant, thanks PB. Yeah it’s already being twisted, that’s what I wanted to see the full context. He’s done nothing wrong there, just the media scum as usual

Hearing rumours City are joining the rags, dippers, spuds, Chavs and Arsenal to form a new super league, anybody else heard anything?

Just got this off the beeb -:

Premier League condemns Super League proposal
The Premier League has just released a statement criticising English clubs who want to sign up for a European Super League (which reportedly includes Manchester United).

"The Premier League condemns any proposal that attacks the principles of open competition and sporting merit which are at the heart of the domestic and European football pyramid," it says.

"Fans of any club in England and across Europe can currently dream that their team may climb to the top and play against the best. We believe that the concept of a European Super League would destroy this dream."

Now a joint statement from several different official organisations criticining these new proposals...

"UEFA, the English Football Association and the Premier League, the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and LaLiga, and the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) and Lega Serie A have learned that a few English, Spanish and Italian clubs may be planning to announce their creation of a closed, so-called Super League," it reads.
And there’s more off FIFA/EUFA
"If this were to happen, we wish to reiterate that we – UEFA, the English FA, RFEF, FIGC, the Premier League, LaLiga, Lega Serie A, but also FIFA and all our member associations - will remain united in our efforts to stop this cynical project, a project that is founded on the self-interest of a few clubs at a time when society needs solidarity more than ever."

The Guardian quotes the Times as reporting 5 English clubs have signed up, City being the only member of the 'big six' not to have done so.

We'd better not have anything to do with this whatsoever.

I hope so. I think if we tell them to do one we’ll come out of this looking very good in the media.
