Champions ************************

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

This is surreal.
Was in a knocked out sleep last night and wake to this!
I am absolutely over the blue moon and will never get over the feeling of how much I love this club.
The one constant thing in our lives is this fucking magnificent club.
And they are always there through thick and thin. The love for city is there. Constant. Unwavering.
And we get to be champions once again.
Thank you city.
Thank you Pep.

Sounds like a bad Oscar speech but fuck it! I'll post it anyway :)
I wish there was a way to know you are in the good old days....before you've actually left them...

Ive just seen that Mendy had won a trophy every 9 games for City. Mental that.

He's going to end up as one of the most decorated footballers of all time.

Bloody good record, just think how many trophies we would have if he played 50 games :D

If I was him I would be embarrassed. Other people winning all those medals for him.

What's the craic with minimum games for medals?

I've been rubbing in all the stats with rags but I watched old clips and I don't think foden played enough games for a medal the first one of his three?

Also saw likes of aguero etc getting league Cup medals but half of them never played?

It doesn’t matter anymore. The club are able to purchase extra medals.

I think that's the case with the Carabao scenario but for the Premier League it's a minimum of 5 matches played. Used to be 10 until about 10 years ago. That's why Foden qualified even in the 17/18 season.

Anyone can get one, but those who've played in 5 games automatically qualify for one. The rest are at the club's discretion.

Yes, but I mean Foden qualified for them all. Even in 17/18 he made 5 PL appearances.

Pretty impressive league treble across the club, isn’t it? If we can win the CL that would make it a double treble!

In 17/18? I think the squad was 26 in total(?) and the club get 40 medals to dish out how they want.

Didnt Foden and Brahim Diaz both come on against Southampton make their 5th league appearance of the season and qualify for medals but were short of the game when the trophy was handed over?
