To be fair they have mentioned it’s a record in all of the divisions since football began. But you are right, usually Sky just focus on the PL and what happened before barely gets a mention. A perfect example is Shearers goal record. 260 PL goals but no mention of the 23 First Division goals he scored for Southampton

Jesus does a lot of good things apart from not scoring goals. At current form, I much rather see him than e.g. Sterling in the starting 11.

I totally agree with you, but he seems to be the latest whipping boy.

Yeah easily keep gab, turf sterling- who from peps noises has gone from teachers pet to the bad attitude I always thought he had

They also omit Sergio’s record prior to the PL. Just shows that they are certain team centric.

Been in a WhatsApp with my brothers, cousins, niece and nephews most of the game.

Asked if anyone understands why RM want him, not one answer came back other than "they're welcome to him" .

Barca no?

Yep soz, too many beers, was bitchung about the chumps league ref and had RM in my head, but the point remains, garcia is shit and you wonder why any team of pedigree would want him. I know they are skint but still

This Torres kid is going to be some player, when we signed him, my friends in Valencia region said he was one of the highest rated young players in Spain, next season could be great for the kid, I am this year, new country, Covid and all, big challenge for one so young.

Ake was awful tonight. Another one that needs someone class next to them to sort them out.

Sterling seems to have fallen off a cliff , you would think with a potential CL final place up for grabs he would show more effort/skill but alas it's not to be. As far as Jesus is concerned he always puts the effort in but he is no number 9. Again there is a 'but' , he does hold the ball up well , he feeds others and he causes problems for the opposition.

Ha ha, I'm catching up wit the wife and son who were banished during match.

What did Pep say hinting about striker?

So many beers I confused RM and Barca earlier, either way here is hoping that both Garcia and Mendy have played their last games for us ever.

Maybe. There are a lot of positives in the lad. He has pace, his movement off the ball is excellent, he has an eye for goal which for a natural winger is unusual. And remember he is very young still and in a foreign county under very difficult circumstances. He will only improve and get better

And he's doing the business for Spain as well

Hopefully he will have a decent Euros for Spain and give his confidence a massive boost for the upcoming season

Huge potential, but has been anonymous in several games but that might be a tad harsh given all of the circumstances this season. Have high hopes for him next season. We still need a proven goal scorer and it would be criminal to pass up the opportunity of signing Haaland if we get it.

With you 100% on this. He’s massively under appreciated by many of our fans, and I get some of the frustration with his lack of goals, but the rest of his game is outstanding and massively undervalued. Keep him on the left or right side (like tonight?) and we’re sorted when Foden or Mahrez (never thought I’d be typing that!) don’t play.
