***City v Chelsea |Official Match Thread***

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

We won 21 games in a row, won the League Cup and the League with Sterling barely starting, while having a great defence with a dominant CDM in Rodri or Fern.

Fuck all that, balls to the wall. Drop all CDMs entirely and play the most out of form forward we have.

As depressing a result as this is, I'll think about the 2 trophies we won this season, where we showcased some incredible football. I just hope to Christ it doesn't take us so long to get to another European final!

Besides being pathetic to call others entitled, you really are living in a parallel universe with flowers and rainbows.

The fact is we lost a huge, huge, huge moment in our history because of stubbornness because someone who is "the best manager in the world" is arrogant. Simple, arrogant.
As a City fan I will always stand up and give a standing ovation for someone who outplays us, but I will never accept our own fuckups. When 90% of the fans that never played a professional game in their lives see this fuck up, but you don't, then we have a fucking problem.

I am not perplexed and feel sick because we lost, but because of how we lost.

In football you sometimes win, sometimes lose. Expecting to always win and to turn into a whinging arse when we don't (which isn't very often) is the fucking definition of entitled.

Nail on head regarding the manner of the defeat. Why the fuck do you change a winning and proven team is beyond me. With changing the best available line up to accommodate somebody so out of form is criminal. It clearly had a knock on effect in causing other players to revert back to their early season form.

Mahrez very disappointing and left Walker exposed in the first half. Foden one or two moments only but he’s young. Kevin cruelly smashed out of the game but he didn’t play well before that. Bernardo and Gundogan indifferent. Stones wobbly in the first half. So many didn’t do themselves justice including our coach. Let’s not forget the brilliant run which took us to a third league title in four. Can’t wait for August to see some live football.

How could you get it so completely wrong.

Pep decided to not play a holding midfielder. Mistake number 1.

Pep decided to play Gundogan deeper where he could not get involved close to their box where he is so important. Mistake number 2.

Pep decided to play Foden centrally where he has been unbelievable on the left lately. Mistake number 3.

Pep decided to play kdb and Silva centrally in a packed midfield and not in the pockets behind our wide forwards. Mistake number 4.

Pep decided to play Sterling. Mistake number 5.

Pep decided to introduce our most clinical goalscorer with 15 mins left when Chelsea were defending for their lives. Mistake number 6.

This is all on Pep

Sorry mate, in PM's you're a good egg, but seriously, why do you think all food posters have fucked off? In the end there will only be Carl, PP, Nt, you and other negative fuckers left in the match day threads an on the forum. You are talonk over and telling anyone who disagrees to fuck off. So eventually that's what they do. All your lot do is complain and look for scapegoats, and then you fucking love to be proven right. I find it very tiring.

They can fuck off for all I care - we lost tonight and we are all upset but some fans need to grow a pair of balls .

You are as stubborn as Pep, it's not difficult to understand is it really, he tried to be too clever, Sterling should not have started based on form. In fact if we want to move forward to next level, he's isn't good enough and definitely not worth his salary. It's not hate, it's an opinion, how about you respect others opinions for a change

they were all pretty offensive tonight nb

Far too many of our boys had an off night. Chelsea’s boys were solid and that was enough.

But we rarely looked like scoring whereas Chelsea could have had at least one if not two more goals with the chances they created. The best team won on the day, it’s as simple as that.
and the really annoying thing is we had a fully fit squad and they had no surprises for us yet we were second best all over the park. The Chavs clearly wanted it more - played better, harder, quicker and smarter than us. Our superstars showed they had feet of clay when it came to the crunch, some couldn't wait to get off the pitch.

Can’t understand that mate. When you’ve sobered up please edit.

Got auto correct in 3 languages running on my phone, so sometimes the end result is jibberish.
But if you change food to good and talonk to taking, you should get the gist (which you should've anyway).
