How sad, im sick here looking at it.

This.
Every fucking kid including mine were watching. Thank god I realised immeadiately what was going on and threw my two youngest out. My eldest was watching in a hotel on a away game with his mates. Boys are absolutely shocked with what they were watching.

They should watch mate, IMO - it’s called reality , teaches kids to hold life dear and use their time on earth to the maximum .

Someone else who thinks like me. Life is precious and fragile but ignoring reality doesn't make the dangers go away or any less real.

I agree to this too. Death used to be a very natural part of life. We saw our loved ones die at home, we slaughtered our animals for food, etc. In the modern world it's become something almost abstract, that we almost never come close to. That makes it more difficult to deal with, and it also makes us appreciate life less.

Unbelievably the match is going to continue at 7:30 BST

And UEFA said the ESL was all about money. A quite staggering decision, up there with some of the most crass, stupid decisions sporting organisations have made

Although I agree with the general low opinion of UEFA, it appears the players of both teams have requested the game goes ahead, and UEFA have agreed.

Have they fuck

There is no fucking way within a hour of a player nearly dying on the field, that any of the players actively thought the best thing to do is to continue. They were distraught and the sole focus from both the Denmark and Finland camps would be on Christian and his family and well being. They would have then contacted their own families to tell them they love them

Resuming the game would NOT have been forefront in their minds.

This is UEFA telling them what to do

100% agree with this. If my colleague at the desk next to mine had a heart attack and had to be reanimated, my first thought would to be to go home and hug my missus. If my boss told me to keep on working I would tell him/her to fuck off.

That's what's being reported on the BBC. They may talk shite, but don't generally lie.

I'm switching to Belgium vs. Russia now. I don't feel comfortable about this game being played.

Lying or not, they're linking to a tweet from UEFA, saying that..
I'd post it, but I'm shite at posting tweets.

Turned the TV off when it looked bad but found out later that the BBC continued coverage, showing the full extent of what was going on and even a close up of a distraught Erikson’s girlfriend.

Just shows how low we have sunk as a society that we continue to watch to see a person die on a football pitch.

I really hope Erikson’s wife wasn’t watching then.

What’s BBC got to do with this? I think UEFA is providing the coverage, not them. They zoomed on him, showed his wife, etc.
I didn’t like what I saw either, but here happened the opposite, after they took him off the stadium the station that has the rights showed one of their tv shows, own production, instead of offering info about what happened, if he is alive, etc.

What I am outraged by is that they restarted the game. No one wanted that, it was all bollox. It shows players are dispensable, they do not give a flying fuck. Same as last year when they forced the clubs to end UCL and Europa League in Portugal instead of stopping it.

End it 0-0 and let the teams recover mentally.
UEFA hit a new low for me.

And it has now come to light the teams were given a choice of finishing the match that night or at 12 the next day. No discussion about calling a draw.

UEFA need to seriously be brought to task about this

Cancelo out of the Euro after being tested positive.

I wonder, aren’t our footballers vaccinated?
