What are your thoughts on the officiating so far? For what it’s worth I am of the opinion that it is far better than pigmol, just saying

I only saw condensed highlights of the match (10 minutes). In those Pogba looked top class. Spraying passes around, tackling, holding off and beating players, etc... ???

The linesman sometimes are quick to raise the flag for tight offsides. A few have been incorrect so far. But in the main the games have been officiated well. The Spanish ref last night let the game play out when he could. And the commentary mentioned as he is from Madrid he doesn’t officiate many top games in Spain. Guys like this should be brought into our fold and replace some of our deadwood

They didn’t show the misplaced passes, the missed tackles, the poor control that made his pass too late for the offside goal then?

Aye, my first thought went to “Alty” as well
And Mike Dean from the Wirral. He still referees Merseyside and Manchester teams. Presumably we are more forgiving than our Spanish counterparts in that where a referee is from doesn’t stop them from officiating at any venue?
