salford city wrote:So now we have reached the stage where many fans are in turmoil over the renewal / deferral / dd and new terms and conditions process . Nobody answering any phone calls at the club just a supporters services account on social media , in the current situation this is just totally unacceptable from the club , get more staff answering the phones and replying to emails or extend the window !!! Diabolical situation for sure .

You make a good point around the extra staffing for query resolution and also the (very) limited time between the renewal window opening to get answers. That said, seems straightforward enough do you want to renew or defer if you defer you risk relocation afterwards if someone has taken your seat wirh no guarantee that you will be able to get another seat. Renew and if the attendance is reduced, face a ballot where if you dont get a place, you will be reimbursed. Ive not read anything other than the email i was sent and pay by DD. it's a yes for me and we will see where that leads. I'm fortunate to have the money spare others maybe not so much but not a lot the club can do with the messages coming from Gov't being so poor. I guarantee one thing though all the deferrals will want a chumps league final ticket....[/quote]
Agree with most pal but what has become glaringly apparentl is the club going down a first come first served policy yet again which is totally out of order . The club is in danger of losing a number of its older die hard support many of whom simply can’t get there heads around complicated websites and lack of information they rely on one to one customer service ie phone lines and the like . The Mahrez fan boys are going to clean up and get to the top of the que yet again maybe this is what the club wants ??? Who knows ???
Absolute shambles .

In what way are they going down a first come first served policy?

The window to renew or make changes is too short and confusing for a lot , it needs extending by a week or so . Currently those who are having difficulty renewing will lose their seats which leaves an opportunity for the Mahrez fan boys and like to jump the que . Maybe it’s just bad organisation from the club or deliberate policy??? Who knows ???

Have you actually read all the documentation the club sent out or provided on the website properly? Its not rocket science.

There is a window to renew.
Once that closes there is a window for those that have renewed and want to move seats.
then there is a window for others to buy season tickets (if available).
If you already pay by DD and are happy do nothing.
If you don't want to pay by DD anymore ring them to change, or update it on the portal.
If you're not comfortable returning to the stadium yet you can defer for a year (pretty good of the club that, they don't have to offer that).

People with genuine queries are probably unable to get through because others are clogging the phone lines with pointless questions rather than read the info provided.

That's as maybe but what if you don't have it and don't want it? Not a fan of having something just because. Not bothered in this case as I've renewed but for others having to get something that they've done without and don't need is a bit of an ask.

Exactly my point. I've never done any social media as in my humble opinion it's all a load of bollox. Why, then, should someone like me need to open a twitter account just to get info the club should be providing through 'normal' channels? If staff from the club have to answer individual questions via twitter, then someone could put a FAQ section on the web site.

You don't need to open an account. You can ask somebody you know to send them a direct message asking them to get in touch with you. An FAQs section on the site might negate the need for you to do that. Get in touch with City Matters and ask them to suggest it to them. I agree it is a complete cock-up but there are ways around the problems that are being caused by people having to sit on the phone for 2 hours only to be cut off.

People are probably phoning up asking the club to second guess what is going to happen in August when the club either do not know, have not decided, or can't say.

Yepp , imagine splashing out on a major purchase with terms and conditions you haven’t got a clue about and never ending protocol in place ? And nobody there to answer any queries ?

What you want to do is pay to watch a football match. I am 100% confident that if I buy a swason ticket this year one of two things will happen. I will either get to watch football matches, or I will be refunded for any that I don't get to see because of capacity issues. I can even oay direct debit so the cost isn't front loader. If I am not comfortable going for whatever reason, the club have given me a year off.

Ok Prestwich Blue who is well known in MCFC social media circles and “clued up” on legal issues is asking for SC holders who have experienced issues over renewal / referral / DD or lost information by the club to contact him (twitter account) .
