Sterling staying or leaving?

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Does he have an attitude problem?

I am inclined to say yes, but not in a ”Sane” way. No one can say Sterling doesn't try. He fails, yeah, but he tries the same thing.
Imho the issue and the "attitude problem" is he doesn't realise (or accept) he's been beyond shit for two years now.
I have a feeling he thinks he is doing ok, the manager played him so much, I don't think Baldie ever spent that much time with him as, like Arteta did, as Mase pointed out.

The moment Sterling will realize his level is going, that will be when we will actually have a player.
But with all these talks of a new improved contract, him getting the final and starting in many games when he should have been benched, do you really think he will find his form?

I think not. Bad management by the club, imho.

Well, if we can't get the right price for him , like Mendy , just let the contract run down . That should spur him on a bit , even if it means him proving to his next team that he's good enough for a good deal.

There is a lot to admire but he is to wasteful.
He is the opposite of clinical.
In big games the margins are very small, you have to take your chances.
Sterling blows his so he needs to go but only if replaced by a clinical finisher. Torres may be the ready made replacement, while Delap is being developed.

I like the Torres thing and understand the issues we have with Sterling, LATELY! Raheem has been an absolute star over previous seasons, being our standout player in a couple. He will will never be clinical, we didn’t bring him in to be a Lewandowski or Messi, he’s there to compliment a type of play.

Being objective, I find it hard to see how the likes of Sterling aren’t in our squad, let all one trying to get rid after a few bad games.

Unless we get crazy money I’d keep him. He had a simile season when he first joined missing heaps of chances and being wasteful. Then had 2-3 career seasons for a wide attacker. One more average one doesn’t write him off
Completely, but if next season is similar it’s a different story.
Tracking back is overrated.

Apparently he's unhappy with the amount of game time he's getting.
Well play better when you get picked and you'll get more game time!
Not hard is it?

He is the fifth in the game time stats last season after Eddie, Ruby, Rodri and Phil.

If that is the case and that is the reason, he truly is a fucking idiot

It happens with most clubs fans but our lot seem to excel in wanting players gone too early. Still smarting for the large percentage of fans wanting Sergio gone 5 years before he did . . . embarrassing stuff, sadly
