Not quite back to business, but a warm up for next weekends thread. Most of the comments from the foxes are about COVID, ticket allocation and only a couple about how much money we have spent. Basically, the usual nonsense. It should be much more interesting next weekend.
COME ON CITY!

Vardy
And the rest..
If we win, we count it as a trophy. If we lose, it was a glorified friendly anyway.
Really intrigued as to how Man City will line up. Pep did say they will 'use' their U23 squad but wondering how many will play/start or just be included in the squad and not actually play.
As much a legend as Vardy is, i would swap him out for Daka who looked everything that Vardy did 2 years ago…Looks hungry, fast and dangerous and would be much more likely to bag a goal than Vardy. Surely you have to go with current form / ability over sentiment.
I feel like Amartey is a gamer who will step up if he's called upon. Limited skill set, sure, but a ton of heart. He'll either put out a 9/10 defensive job or concede two penalties.
I'm excited.
We will have half the squad out for this
So will Man City...
Really want to win this one. In any other country it’s called ‘The Super Cup’. Good enough for me! Three trophies in 5 years! Does that equate to an era of domination?
Daka starts.....definitely!!! Nacho will have a problem with game time. Vardy still have the pace ,movement and reading of the game, the one aspect of his game you would not have anticipated falling away was is ability to finish. He gets that back and off we go, Daka is either his partner upfront or Vardy can play on his own. What we may see this coming season is Vardy getting 60 - 70 minutes then coming off and get replaced by Nacho.
I Doubt daka starts unless he has a blistering pre season
I would say you are correct but Brendan don’t normally just throw new signings straight into the team if he has a choice about it he likes to slowly introduce them into the team
A great chance to add more silverware if they're going to have a seriously weakened squad.
They only have the one game now before playing us which is Barnsley on Saturday, we have 3 games including tomorrow’s before we play them
Players should be fit and raring to go then...
Community shield rules state you should play your strongest team but we will see how that holds up if pep delivers on his statement
Grealish is scoring on Saturday isn't he?
I’ve never been this depressed for the start of the season...poor Wes! Goodness knows how our defense will cope with man city today...I suspect they won't …I went from thinking we're going to win it all after the first 60 mins of the game on Weds to thinking it's all gone to shit! Husband says I'm a drama queen...I hope he's correct!
We’ll find it harder without Wes that’s for sure, but this isn’t a one man team. We’re still a decent side with him out. But it’ll be more challenging…Don’t forget Man City have a number of their first team out due to injuries and Euros. Don’t get me started on their new Barbie Girl.
