Villa just brought in replacement in Leon Bailey. Grealish is definitely going down. I was wrong.

Will be interesting by the way which will be bigger hit, Bailey or Grealish. That's aiot of pressure as Bailey isn't a bad player at all.

Grealish looks like he thrives on pressure.
You're right that Bailey isn't a bad player.
Grealish is a great player, that's the difference.

Good.
now all he needs to do is to prove it.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

But there will be a lot of pressure on him now.

This is the least excitement I've had since the takeover. Foden is our only electrifying player next to captain KDB, not good enough Pep and Team. Mahrez and Grealish are 2 steps backwards.

Same here ; I just cannot get myself excited about Jack or Harry . Both decent players , but way overpriced.

Yes very hard to be happy with Grealish and Harry if he comes. Incredible sums of money involved for players I just can’t get excited about joining us.

I’m super excited about Grealish. Not so much with Kane. His stats are great - I just don’t like the guy.

Is not the players, imho, is the way we ended last season.
Not the heartbreak, but the disgust.

I think even Mbappe and Haaland couldn't change it.

I would respectfully suggest if the signing of the two best young forwards in world football today doesnt excite you, then perhaps nothing will

I am hoping that the squad have gotten over the debacle of the champions league final and its immediate aftermath. It hurt a lot of people and I am sorry but I cant help but think that there is some level of negative legacy lingering on within the group as a whole.
Really 3 or 4 senior players shouldn't be looking to leave a championship winning team.

There was this fella in the BBC Documentary about the World Cup 94 talking about Italy and he was saying:
"The italians need to be hurt, to be attacked, to suffer, then they will respond".

That's the case this year, imho, some major cheating needs to happen to annoy the living hell out of me and the players, like last year with Leicester.
At the moment we look like we are not in the mood (fans wise also). Can't put my finger on why?
Are you excited for the new season? Is anyone?

Nope. Can only speak for myself though.
Been well over a year since I last went to a game now, didn't even consider Wembley for the Leicester game over the weekend after Pep announced his EDS squad plan for the game (glad I dodged that turgid bullet). Overpaid for Grealish in my opinion, plus it's come with too much widespread negativity as well. A supposed top English player hitting his prime years and going to one of the best English sides and it feels like all English media and rival fans want him to fail. Literally everyone outside of my City mates and other City fans are nasty, spiteful and insipid little cunts about the club I've followed my whole life. Just drains me trying to be invested in the club and COVID has amplified it tenfold.

The joy of following City is being rinsed out of me.

I'm excited for the start of the new season if for nothing else than it's the start of a new season!
Whether we will be successful, whatever your own personal definition of that is, remains to be seen. It will be a tighter title race this time around for a number of reasons.
I'm fairly easily pleased and a pot on the sideboard whilst finishing in the CL places will be very likely satisfactory for me

Fuck me we've lived off a diet of Gerry Creaney and Big Fat Bob and we've got people complaining about Grealish and Kane

This.
Perspective. I also struggle with people moaning about managers who wins titles and cups for us.

Exactly. I don't worry about us any more. We've already won more trophies than I ever expected in my lifetime. It's all a bonus from here.

Nah,
people are free to moan as much as they want. Kids who have lived this dream most of their lives will complain us not winning Champion's League and whatnot. I get that. But people who were around when we went through all that shit complaining is somewhat weird as just like Dazby said we have won more than I could've ever thought even in my wildest dreams and I mean that literally. Even if Sheik got bored tomorrow and we went back to being shit I got to live through the glory years and that's good enough for me.
