Having the attitude of “I won’t fight for my place I just deserve it” is an absolute losers attitude. You’re correct, there’s nothing wrong with wanting to be first choice - I imagine no City player bar Scott Carson is happy sitting on the bench. It’s your attitude to winning your place back and then making sure you’re first choice - see John Stones.

He had his chance to be numero uno after Vinny left. We were hoping he would lead the defense.
Instead, he got injured in the most absurd way, fucked our defense long-term and we had to play Fern or Rodri as CB.

And he made match losing mistakes afterwoods....actually , he nearly always makes one bad mistake a game that nearly costs us.

That's just not true. He did it in a couple of important CL games but he hasn't made 1 error leading to a goal in 75 PL games.
By comparison Stones has made 5 in 184, Dias 0 in 32. Both of them admittedly superb last season but that doesn't decry Laporte's record.
Komps only had 2 in 265 games, Otto 5 in 136. Laporte is bang up there with the best.

Ahhh the ol’ stats. What constitutes as a mistake? Being out of position (Mendy 55 mistakes in 55 starts)? Giving the ball away? Own goal?

Going for a pointless/impossible tackle in august and fucking your leg up so badly we end up going most of the season with one centre half?

i think for one game , season before last , he played a pass to the opposition in their half and they went down and scored from it . An Error and we lost the game.

Still , it's a squad game - being in four competitions . We'll need all of them .

So there’s no proper definition of what’s including in the term error?

I don't know what's difficult about the difference between a mistake that everyone does and one that directly costs a goal which was the initial inference given. He's not cost us in the Premier League.

Because is being out of position and the opposition score included? Those type of stats are easily manipulated to suit whatever argument that person wants.

Laporte fucked us in three consecutive UCL exists, but never mind, move on, I have another issue:

Why on earth would we want to sell Gabby if we don't have two forwards lined up? Are we that daft? What if we get Kane and he gets injured? Why are we so happy to fuck around with the positions of our players up front?

Sorry but Pep is the one to blame for all 3 - we also have grealish as an option for a striker, according to Pep :?

Fucking around with the player's positions cost us a European final.

Pep is the worst player manger I have seen at City, great tactician but shit player manager.
