He didn’t have to though mate. He started Sterling, so why didn’t he start Walker, Stones, Zinch? Still no one has answered this?

Because Pep knows more than you ? And has won more than you as a manager?

That argument  I’m sure the people running City know more than you about e-tickets, and have successfully ran more football clubs than you.

So it’s the e-tickets fault ?
Pep has won more than you as a manager fact !

Well I’m not a manager so I’d hope so, yeah. It’s like saying Saville has shagged more kids than you.

Yet he still plays Mendy and plays one the worst players we had last year (Sterling ).......what a fucking genius he is !!

Mendy is fucking shit
Sterling is fucking shit
Maybe we can’t get rid of them ?
Meanwhile Ginger Kev isn’t fully fit
Foden is injured
And we have no striker ……..

The striker situation is truly a joke. Like our left back situation that is consistently ignored. One game in and I feel like I need a break

Clearly a fantastic opportunity for our hot taking whingers to get in their hits.

Better take your chances. It might not last more than a few months.

Please do let it out if it helps you feel better.

Me? Not interested in over-worrying about a match day 1 result away that has so many variables that tell me this is not even close to valid and reliable data to read much into.

If we perform like this in 2-3 months (less, say 1-2, if we don't sign Kane) with who Pep is employing regularly enough, then I'll begin to lean into the idea.

There is no excuse for us not winning this match....NONE.....Spurs didn't have their star player..yet they still fucked us over.
Baldie has lost 4 times to spurs at their place (and not scored one goal ) and lost 3 times on the bounce against Chelsea and keeps losing matches we should win in the CL.

Every other team has had their players playing the Euros yet they all won.......we didn't and we played shit in the second half.

Stop looking for justification on us getting embarrassed again today.

Why don’t you reply when you quote someone and they reply to you. But then you moan about people whinging? Ironic.

It’s a forum. If you don’t like people having an opinion then don’t be here. Literally no one is forcing you. People are upset because the club they support have lost and you’re upset because of that?! Weird.

That was a bit shit. Wasn’t expecting much with line-up but expected a better show in front of goal, at least for Loris to have to work.

Feels worse because of yesterday’s results but after a long weekend can’t be arsed getting upset about it.

Mate, I didn't mean to ignore any replies as I don't always catch them or go back and read. Also sometimes it's just life and what I wish to spend my energy on.

I will admit I could take a nicer tone, but I am a human and I guess this type of fan reaction is not always my favourite for a long list of reasons, even if I can respect and accept reasons for its existance.

I hear what you are saying, but given this is a public discussion forum, why is it not acceptable to comment on flaws I see with other comments using evidence? Does that not sound somewhat odd to you?

One can think and feel as one likes, but that does not mean one cannot point out reasons to disagree with this and use evidence to defend an opposing view. That's what we teach children to do in school.

If one offers evidence on the contrary to what another writes that's great, and part of how things work. Criticising my criticisms by saying one is just free to say what they want, does not equal freedom to comment and be allowed to go without criticism.

My thoughts are shared about what some fans do - which I did say one is well entitled to if it makes one feel better which I actually believe is likely true even if it sounded pejorative - because I tend to not agree with the patterns of those who always always lean into negative reactions.

If we collected data from this forum, and other forums from fans I am almost certain we could find the same individuals taking mostly the same nevative, at time vitriolic positions on game performances, players, managers, transfer market activity, and during games, despite the club being the most successful club in England for a decade. Does that mean nothing?

I will also admit some more positive fans go far in their direction. I tend to try not to be either one too much.

Yet why do those who engage in the usually loud and angry negativity get to go without any response and reaction from those who may observe this and seek to raise valid, logical points about how this thinking may be inaccurate, and therefore worth noting?

Fans are not exactly always rational. That includes me, but I do try to be fair and behave differently as a fan. I am not exactly unfamiliar with the fandom I am criticising and wrote about it on here before.

I challenge the loud fans and what I tend to hear from some who are like this is that this is just how fans are.

I also don't EVER expect us to agree. It's not for you to change your mind because I think a good number of these fans' minds are already made up.

But maybe others will listen or think a bit.

That's the point.

What about those like me though? Do we not count? I know I am not alone, and all I can say is if you write something on a public forum and expect everyone to just agree with you or not be allowed to question reasoning behind thinking what is it for then?

I am getting it here and eslewhere too, and I can accept and listen to criticisms of my thinking rather than me as a person.

Peace and respect.

No worries. We all support City and want what is best for the club. People see things differently and that’s what a forum is for.

We need to smash Norwich next week and get back on track.

Mendy shite as per
Torres not a striker non existent today
Sterling same old
Ale fault for goal not closing down sooner
We need a striker- left back and a bit of urgency when we go a goal down instead of side passes

I'm all for differing opinions but will never ever understand HOW ANY City fan can say they are not upset with the result !!!!

Thats more baffling than Mendys inclusion into the starting 11.

I think some of us are far more passionate about City than other fans are....there is no other explanation.

Baldie says if players make mistakes the previous game then they wont play the next game (words to that affect )

Why does he lie so much ?

Just to be very clear mate, I am not pleased with the result at all.

It is hard to see the good - yet sometimes we do know poor results help a manager or players learn something that can help later - and I can acknowledge there is concern for us having to overcome another slow start.

very disappointing, actually agreed with Ratboy when he was squealing "Mendy isn't a defender" adding he isn't anything but a massive liability

Cheers. No worries from me as well.

I want to say I appreciate the dialogue and we are City fans and on the same side here.

Deffo want to see that next week as well, and if I were Norwich I'd be very worried about how our team will want to respond.
