We've had some form of squad deficiency every season Pep has been here be it going into the season with one DM, not replacing Vinnie, the continuing absence of a decent left back or as we are now, without a proper number 9. With the resources at our disposal, it shouldn't be happening.
Good post.
Very odd that, to be honest. Did he ask for those and the board said no, or he said he will manage?
A question we might never know the answer to.
Peps ego? Wants to be known as the man who won without a recognised formation? Maybe?
That could explain his tendency to put square pegs in round holes. (Zinchenko and Delph, Fern, false 9). Maybe thinks he can turn players into something they're not.

specious argument. paying too much for harry fucking kane will limit our ability to pursue future targets. even if kane makes us stronger now (which is debatable), and manages to stay healthy (which is highly doubtful), we will be weaker in the long run because of his ridiculous fee and wages. not to mention the fee gives the fucking spuds a lifeline they dont deserve.
fret not he's our player. I'm fretting because he is.branny wrote:Just read a football.london report stating that Levy won't sell now even at £160m because it's too late in the window to sort a replacement. With Messi and Lukaku both switching clubs this window, if we don't get Kane and go into the season without a 9 (I know Messi isn't a 9 but he guarantees goals) it's a major cock up and I'll be gobsmacked if it doesn't cost us.

Great job.
nottsblue wrote:Well, will his price have increased after that?
Levy knows we need a forward even more so now.
But in all honesty I'd sooner just struggle this season than give Levy what he wants. Spurs are financially in a very deep hole and this would bail them out. Let them struggle
