I thought Norwich were playing to their game plan. Its not going to work against us but probably give them a good chance against 12 or so teams in the division. Fair play to them, today's game isn't going to decide their season.

You seriously getting fucked off because we beat a relegation candidate 5 nil?

I’m getting fucked off or Salford? I’m buzzing we won and Grealish got a home debut goal. Over the moon for Jesus. Great to see Walker back. I think you were asking Salford, but just thought I’d clarify anyway.

Directed at Salford with this comment. But you said you gave up your season ticket because of it. It being as far as I can tell that teams play very defensive against us and can lead to 'boring' games like today's 5 nil win.

It was one of the reasons I gave it up.

I like to watch good matches where you don’t know what will happen. Watching teams come to COMS and whack 12 behind the ball, including the ref, was frustrating and ruined the excitement for me. It wasn’t exciting, it was predictable. We don’t always have days like today where we smash teams. There’s a lot of times we destroy a team and they just hit us with the sucker punch and then crawl back in to their ‘every man behind the ball’.

It also didn’t help that the season I gave it up was the one after teams whacked 11 behind the ball, but Bravo was in net so it was one shot one goal. That season destroyed me.

Another reason was that around the same time we were getting cheated out of every match. Basic decisions going against us and match changing decisions blatantly fuckin us over.

It’s okay for teams to go to United or Liverpool away and just defend, because both the rags and scousers will get the penalties and free kicks that they should get (and a lot of the time the ones they shouldn’t get). We don’t get those decisions, and if we did it would end up like today.

I think we do have good games, not against Norwich though. We are now easily the best team in the country and one of the top teams in Europe. Even the top 6 sides play on the break against us. It's a testament to how fucking good we are. And sometimes it works, like last week.

I agree about the shit decisions, but also think it's getting better, slowly.

Going back to Salfords comment, we didn't always use to go it a go. We were shit and got battered by teams way better than we were at the time.

I don’t think anyone could accuse Norwich of just trying to be defensive today. Every time they had the ball at the back they kept trying to play their way out.

Only problem for them is that the tactic was a disaster and played right into our hands. We kept winning the ball back deep in their half and that’s one of the reasons why we were totally dominant.

To be fair to them they were trying to play football.

Was an absolutely suicidal tactic to be playing out from the back against us. They couldn't handle our press and eventually it was going back to the keeper to slice out of play or lumped up the pitch aimlessly anyway

Pleasure being back there yesterday. I was expecting chaos getting in but got to Y entrance and the queue was no worse than last season and it all worked perfectly.
Gab rightly MOTM in my opinion, he was superb out wide but I thought Laporte and Walker weren't far behind. Laporte had well over 100 passes with near 100% accuracy and they weren't just little 2 yard balls, he did a load of long balls that all found their man. Took his goal really well too. Walker's passing yesterday was the best I can remember as well. Great cameo by Palmer as well.

I thought they looked ok in possession but knew over 90 mins they would get mullered Aaron’s is a very tidy player. Only thing is with a 9 it’s 9-0. Scary to think what Kane KDB and Foden could add. Gabby was brilliant Walker gets better, his passing was top draw.

Add KDB and Foden to yesterday’s line up and we may well be on the verge of something very very special. Gab out wide right was a revelation yesterday and super Jack on the left wing just pulled the opposition all over the place . Pep has had a long think about this one for sure just need that final piece of the jigsaw……… a striker ! Defensively Dias Laporte and Walker look exceptional all on the same wave length , I’m still not sure about Cancelo though .

Looking back at the getting into the Etihad situation yesterday the same old issues appeared. Where the crowd volume is at its highest ie entrances M N & P the issues were the worst . When I got off the tram (exceptional service) and walked through the stupid barrier at City square why the fuck is that there ???? just to piss match goers off even more ??? anyways could see the fan traffic was light that area with no issues at any turnstiles until getting around to R which was just a bit more hectic than normal but getting around to P where I have to get in it was poor and so many fans were pissed off queing in the rain . South Stand M was worse I think this is where the biggest issues are because of the sheer volume of fans that go through there ? Hopefully things will be more relaxed for the Arsenal game as a lot of fans were tense but held there shit together in the rain . The fucking diabolical shit ques for beer and food in the fucking ground is worse than ever ………… just get it right MCFC ffs !!!!

On Gabby if he had played from the off that final? I think his unreal energy levels could have seen a different tempo. I watched him yesterday with my mate who like many has his doubts to say the very least. It’s only Norwich I said, he just blurted out that twat playing like that has to start you rotate him you are fucking nuts he is fit strong and wins all his battles. He does did it in Madrid FFS. The team love him he is like Walker but upfront.

From the wing he’s a similar player to Havertz

I know we won comfortably 5-0 but we actually only had 4 shots on target. I surely can't be alone in being a bit concerned about that. For all our dominance to only have 4 shots on target is poor in my view. Seems very churlish I know on a 5-0, but Norwich will likely be the poorest opposition we will face this season and better outfits than them could easily frustrate us

Really? Unusually, I couldn't disagree with you more, mate.

The players knew they didn't need to make chances because they were 2-0 up after 20-odd minutes against a side with no ambition other than keeping the score down. They had one shot in 90 minutes. Surprised you don't see that, to be honest.

This ability and willingness to conserve energy and manage matches will tell come March-April time.
