Pep is leaving when his contract ends

The problem is shit like this make the fans dislike him, even if he won a shit load of stuff with us.
When you say stuff like this it sounds you are looking forward for your contract to end or leaves the impression you never enjoyed your time here.

I am disappointed, but not surprised.

Who has compared with rags mate? Name names.

It’s a fair comment though mate. We’re terrible at planning transfers, there’s a myth we’re amazing at planning, so what makes people think we’ll be better with the manager?

Best thing for us is Vinny smashes these next two years, or finishes this season and comes to spend the next season shadowing Pep ready to take over. We need whoever is going to take over in before Pep leave imo.

Pep did the double in his last season at Bayern. The scum were let off in Fergusons last season by us City have the blueprint for success the scum had help from how many of Fergies mates, Moyes Fat Sam reds Gill was a crook Peps a Pro Mase his staff have come and gone he carries on. Maybe all the Spanish will leave.
They may just all think as most world leading businesses do it’s time for new ideas. I don’t see any candidate wanting a hold hands period were not Arsenal. In fact I cannot see that many choices can you, Vinny Arteta Patrick all doing nothing to suggest they could step up. Look at the scum with Oli.

Not sure what to say mate. You’re comparing the Prem, and how much competition we now have to win things, with the German league in Peps last season with zero competition.

Remember Nigel de Jong - when he did this it was terminal for his performances and his reputation. It's a deliberate act of disassociation employed by people with super-sized egos who just don't give a toss about the club or its fans and like everybody to know it.
The sooner this narcissists gets out of City the better - absolute motivation killer for the squad as the season starts, especially young players and also for recruitment. A real kick in the teeth for the fans and the owner. Baldies a blister.

Did anyone expect him to stay at the end of his contract?

His desire to manage Brazil is not a secret. It's old news.

I agree with Carl though, no way should he be allowed to manage us in the final season of his contract. Players will down tools. Even top pro's like Kompany and Silva gave up in Pellers last season.

I disagree, and by the sounds of it a lot on here do. Telling the world you’re leaving in two years isn’t professional

Yes he is a pro no doubt the trophy cabinet and the way we filled it is a testament to that , But I’m with Mase on this no way should he come out and announce he is off , that is unprofessional, and bad for the club imo

He still battered it in his last season at BM though Mase and i don't think it was quite as easy a league as you've suggested. Dortmund for instance in his 3 years there were managed by Klopp for 2 years and Tuchel for 1 and got to the CL knockout stages every year. His last year there was the 4th consecutive Bundeslig win which was the 1st time ever achieved.

They won the league by 10 points in his last season - there was no competition there.

We can use our own example last season, where the team was nervous and didn’t play well until he signed.

True- but in his 3 PL wins with us one was by 19 points and one by 12 points. We wouldn't say there's no competition here.

Last season there was little competition, but we also went on a ridiculous run during winter. The 100 points season there was zero competition.

Not me - I went home and away with Alan Ball, Frank Clarke, Stuart Pearce. I'm sure we'll never have as bad as that again.
I'll definitely be upset though.
What about you Carl, throwing a party. Try and get some better drinks than Baileys though, bit of a tarts drink.

If he stays or goes no problem, but why say what youre doing a year or so in advance. It will likely cause more harm than good and will put off a fair few players seeing as how Pep is one of the best there is. Just a headache the club doesn't need

Pep might be a genious when it comes to footy. But there's a fair few brain farts thrown in here and there.

I understand his motive and desire to coach a national team one day. I am not too worried when that day arrives. Heck I will even applaud his departure. But the problem is, as others pointed out, that his desire to exit gives the wrong signals to our players etc. A quote like this can seriously harm our chances in the league and cups up until he actually quits.
