The sad thing is if we owned Haaland at this point in time and wanted to sell him, United would most probably be able to get more money for Martial than we would Haaland.

A sad, but true statement. Both red shites are able to command top dollar when selling never got my head around it

united lost Pogba to Juventus for less than 1 mill compensation and bought him back for 90 mill.
They're hardly a shining endorsement of good transfer business.

And still they pay 70 mil for Sancho, while earlier this season they released their finance sheet and they were 450 mil in debt, or close.
And still you don't hear anyone complain about FFP breaches.

They got what they paid for Lukaku back even after he stank out OT.

Will we get back what we paid for Mendy?

Obviously not but only because of the injuries.
There's plenty on here wanting us to buy Lukaku.

There’s two people wanting us to buy Lukaku.
It’s nothing to do with mendy’s injuries. He’s a poor footballer. Even if he had a class season now, we’d still not get back what we paid for him.

It's everything to do with his injuries.
He was brilliant for Monaco before we signed him and the first few games for us before the injury he was getting assist after assist.
Unfortunately the injury has fucked him big style.

According to WhoScored he got 1 assist for us before his injury.

Anyone that defends Mendy’s piss stained performances is in dire need of a frontal lobotomy.

Don't think anyone is excusing his performances - just his injury record.
He's got 9 assists in 49 PL games so if only 1 was before the 1st injury i suspect most of the others were before the last one.

Mendy looks the dogs when he first joined. He was pinging in crosses for fun

Id question his attitude rather than his injury record...that contributes more to his shit performances than his so called past injuries-

Shit Control of a ball has fuckall to do with a past injury -
Passing backwards and sideways also has fuckall to do with past injuries -
Booting the ball into outer space , instead of a measured cross , has fuckall to do with past injuries.
Shit positioning.........................
Getting skinned all the time......................

The list is endless.

To surmise;

Hes a sack of shit that HAS TO BE SOLD (Given away)

I dissected his performance on when we smashed Liverpool 5-0 at home the other year. He was caught out 2-3 times at important moments in the game. Another day and we don’t win that if Salah has his shooting boots on.

Mendy has never looked good for us. If someone can point me in the direction of a specific game I’ll happily watch the highlights to see what he did that was good. He’s that poor now that when he has an average match ie. one where he doesn’t fuck up, people think he’s had a “good” game.

In addition to all of Mendy's obvious defects I would add that he does not have the ability to understand what is required of him in a Pep team.

So even if he had never got injured he would never have delivered for us IMO.

Spot on. His footballing brain was shown when Adama put him on his arse when Wolves beat us.

Gone full circle. Rooney looks like a Grandpa beside those girls. Acting like one also by falling asleep in a bedroom with those girls presumably game for a laugh.

All sorts of potential for lipstick art there. An opportunity not taken full advantage of.
