He did a top class job.
He did everything his masters asked from him

just a very tiny cog in a very very very large corruption machine.

He can not be questioned.
He can not be criticised
He is not allowed to make any statements

The perfect scenario for institutional corruption

Look back at Mike Dean, as Pep blows a gasket. The same Mr Tranmere, utter contempt for Pep. Refs are bent, if there was any doubt it’s gone now. Wigan and Wirral based officials oh dear.

Agreed, the frustrating thing is Dean was previously barred from involvement in Merseyside matches but policy was recently relaxed. Same with Alty Taylor he shouldn't be involved in the Manchester games. It should be a basic requirement at elite level sport that official's should be neutral and independent.

How do you ensure this? Difficult, all referees are some sort of football fans, you would have to have an interest in the game to be a referee in the first place.
Therefore it's logical to suggest all English referees must have a soft spot for certain premier league sides. And it's hard to hide it. Just look at Howard Webb and Anthony Taylor, prime examples.
Won't happen but maybe referees from abroad is the answer for some PL games.

As an absolute minimum they shouldn't be local!
It doesn't happen in other elite sport.

100% it will happen. Most probably exactly a warning. Don't think he will get a touchline ban.

Didn’t Hackett purposely fuck over West Ham back in the day? Why the hell is he even allowed a voice the old nonce.

If he's not bent he's seriously incompetent. Either way, he shouldn't be reffing top flight. In my opinion he's weak. He ignored the trip on Foden because it would have meant a red card and the obvious knee high trip on Bernardo. Shit his pants on both.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

Refs, media, when it’s City it’s gets blurred and buried. Carragher working for SKY sat there with a fuck of Micah attitude. Milner should have seen red 1st half, the debate was inside the area or not. He was last man fouled Foden. If it was Dias on Salah it’s red all day.
