Just said it was passed to Tranny by use of the arm of Greenwood but it’s still a goal?

How can VAR give that?

Seemed to me the Sancho played the ball off the referee in the build up as well. Play should have been brought back there

In the real world I don’t have a clue but in sponsorship football I totally understand it.

Yep, seen that as well, mate. It’s not just obvious, it’s becoming clear and organised. Just like taking over 2 minutes to try and rule out the Zapeta goal when it was clearly onside.

VAR gifts the rags the equaliser.

Correct. If that is not classed as getting an advantage then I don’t know what does. Control the ball with your hand to gain control and the pass it to a player that scores.

That’s what the likes of the Rags and Tranny brings, the sponsors who pay the money have a say.

From Ronaldo: ".....We had a bit of luck for the goal as it may've hit the hand but this is football....."
Sounds like even the Rag players are becoming embarrassed by all the 'luck' they keep being given.....

I never saw the handball it was on in the background and wondered why Olive was looking so sheepish when he shook the other managers hand

Moving forward the focus and discussion will be on how wonderful Ronaldo is (in fairness an excellent finish). The handball will not be mentioned.
As stated by other posters, the sponsors put their money down and they demand their pound of flesh.

I'm no fan of this ref - he clearly has an anti-Pep agenda but if Brugge turn up the same as they did in their home leg, I doubt even this ref will help them. Be a difficult game all the same with the derby following and that will influence his team selection. We will see which game he places the importance on with the side he puts out tonight

Probably we will see him again in our decisive game in the later stages of the competition.

He retired from being an impartial referee years ago, as far as we're concerned. Not sure why he's back - has he refereed anywhere else this season?

No. Just asked a friend who is a massive La Liga Fan.
So, the question is this: why do we allow this to happen?

Hopefully after we have beaten them, Pep will ask in his presser after if he will retired again and a big point of it

I hope that also. But go full on, not his usual read between the lines.
I am upset by the Spafia, they seem to lack the ruthlessness to do the job properly. I understand with transfers they seem to fuck up, don't mind that much because in 90% it ended up great for us, but we constantly see that they fail to offer us protection both locally and in Europe and that is a major problem for us.
I think we could have won the final, even with the Brainfarts, if Lahoz was not in charge.
