I just dont understand why we dont make this deal for the summer as we are already very light up front & not buying in Jan? it's a good deal for Barca so i'm sure they'd still go for it on these terms

- dressing room harmony
- Rather give game time to academy players and improve them than improve a player for Barca

There's another thing here, iirc his wages are low (comparatively). So Barca are getting a potential gem on the cheap.

Doh! They still have to pay !

Also, the young fool doesn't realise it's going to be a battle for Barca in the next five years of rebuilding.

Or would we think we had overpaid?

He isnt a prolific striker yet by any means when adll is said and done

I like the lad as it goes and would prefer him to stay. But, for whatever reasons, he wants out and there is little point in keeping an unhappy player. And the fee is a decent one. It will be a club record received fee

Totally agree with you NB

Yes a good player I would haveiked to have seen more of.

We are getting double our money back on a player who wanted out.

People bleating on giving him away, his current market value is £40m

People moaning we are giving Barca 4yrs to pay it!! Most transfers (excepting probably us) are done in instalments and christ it isn't like are desperate for cash in the bank. The deal will make any accountant happy.

We bitched and moaned about Kane (those who wanted him) and Levy not letting him leave, yet nobody happy to accept Ferran wanted out and we let him walk.

Yes Zuri they do but in instalments which are far more palatable for them. Not overly concerned if he wanted to go, we never know the reasons so he may be homesick etc and fancied Farca. My point is that we appear to helo these cnuts out at every opportunity and it is all one way. Farca will be up at the top of La Liga by next season you can be sure of that

As I understand it, almost all transfers are paid in instalments. You often hear if clubs still being owed money when a team gets into financial difficulties. It's one of the reasons transfer embargoes are in place

Would we have been given 4 years if Messi had said yes?

There is always payback, you scratch my back, I will scratch yours.

IMO we are playing the long game here, we are not getting shafted. No need to be a cnut just for the sake of it. Barca will remember who helped them out when the time comes.

That's a question for PSG, not relevant to us

All the talk about Haaland, Kane, the Serb but I think we’ll end up going all out for Joao Felix. Simeone basically said this week it’s not worked out and hinted it may be best to part ways.

Pep was an admirer when he went to AM, but there was no way we’d pay €125m. I can see Pep abandoning the search for an out and out striker and going for Felix.

EDIT: he’s also Benfica. No doubt he’d fit in here.

Not to speak for him but I think Hazy meant if we’d have agreed a fee at some point over the last decade to buy him, the answer is a definite “no” I reckon

Interesting Cheeky couldn't make his award tonight

Maybe he's got more pressing matters - possibly someone on his way in City blue??

.

The release clauses the Spaniards have are mental. I've read Fati and that Pedri have the same.
Must be something related to taxes, otherwise doesn't make sense at all.

Those clauses are there to try curb State sponsored sides and Sports washing who are ruining football.
These nouveau riche clubs who have no history think nothing of chucking £500M to buy a player.

Warning: the above can be a little confusing to the uninitiated.
Real Madrid's state sponsorship purchase of Galácticos is GOOD.
Man Utd breaking transfer records (Law, Robson, Cole, Rio, Pogba, etc...) is GOOD.
Liverpool breaking transfer records (Dalglish, Torres, Carroll  , Salah, VVD, Alisson) is GOOD.

Man City spending any money is VERY VERY BAD
PSG buying Galácticos is BAD
Newcastle potentially spending money is BAD

I suppose you could say it i down to one's viewpoint.
