Gulp... facing our hardest away trip of the season and we're not in good form. I predicted us to get tonked last time out against City and was very happy to only lose 1-0, given we had less players available you'd hope we could get a similar result. This is essentially a free hit so as long as the score line isn't over 3-0 it's really not a big problem - we just need to win our games against teams around us.

Anything other than a loss will be a bigger miracle than signing Eriksen.

To be honest, we are going to lose anyway so personally I’d rest Ajer, Norgard, Toney, Henry for Saturday which in the grand scheme of things is a much bigger game.

You can see us putting in a really good shift to only lose by the odd goal or two but then be 2 goals down in 15 minutes against Palace on Sat.

As long as we don't concede any stupid goals I'll be happy.

I suppose even the greatest sides have the odd batshit game when they do everything but score. Perhaps it will be City's turn?

If canos and Jensen both start we will lose heavily….proper heavily too.

Personally I can't see where the next win is coming from, but as sure as hell it's not coming in this game. Hopefully we will keep it respectable.

Depends on how much City want to absolutely thrash us or rest players/ give development experience…I’m going 5 nil. And I’d be perfectly happy with players being rested for the Palace game which is massively more important.

Last time City played Brentford at home in a top-flight match was Christmas Day, 1937. City lost 0-2, my dad was there at Maine Road. Brentford also won the return match two days later. That was the year City, champions the previous season, scored more goals than any other team in the division and were still relegated. Frank Swift was City's goalkeeper, later died in the Munich Air disaster (he was a reporter by that time), 64 years ago today.

We are 25/1 for a reason. Hope we dont get thrashed. Much more important games coming up. Id take a draw but probably get beat easily by probably the best team in the world right now.

Key thing from this game is that Man City have to work hard for their goals. No setting them up on a plate for them like we have done recently.

We are due a change in luck/form/result and City are due a shock and so 1-1 it is - I can dream can't I?

I predict I will be hiding behind the sofa, like a particularly scary episode of Doctor Who (Jon Pertwee era). Cybermen maybe.

As much as it would great for our GD, I really hope we don't rip them a new one.

They gave a good account of themselves at their place.

Keeping it 2-0 hopefully won't deflate them for the Palace game, I hate Palace mainly because of the self entitled Zaha. so hoping they can get something out of that game at the weekend.
