That was easily United’s best team selection as well. No hiding now.

Five teams in with a shout of fourth place.
Unfortunately, Rags have the easiest remaining fixtures - on paper - like tonight's game for instance :)

It is going to be close.

Spuds three points behind rags, however three games in hand, so not to bad

Yep and in March Rags play: City (A), Spuds (H), Athletic M (H), Dippers (A) - hoping they will be demoralized by the time that run is completed

Didn’t watch the Rag game but looking at the stats, the Rags should’ve been well out of sight.

Realistically, and I’m glad of, stats are not reality.

According to the opening paragraph on the Beeb, that is them dominating their last two games and Pogba is once again, world class. I imagine that means he will be off in the summer

I am sure I read somewhere that when the season ends, Wreck It Ralph' manager's contract ends and a new manager/coach (bus driver) will be appointed.
At that point, it was said that 'Wreck It' would not leave the club but take up a new position upstairs in a role of diector of football (or similar)
Can anyone confirm this please?

If this is the case, it would mean that 'Wreck It' would be in a position of generally dictating football policy at the rags..
Based on his current man management and results, that would seem a great outcome for the rest of us.

That's my understanding too. Add to that the other clown who has replaced Gill and things continue to look rosey for us looking in from the outside. Ten years next season since they won the PL, I'd say they are a long way from it and will continue to be while we have Pep and our infrastructure

Why all these comments it was bad for the rags last night? :? :? :? :?
The way I see it Burnley should be upset for dropping two points, and the rags should be happy for scraping an impressive away draw at Burnley, big result for them to be fair.
I only watched the last twenty mins of it, all I could see in those twenty minutes was two long ball sides. Hoof and leggit.
In fact makes you wonder why they sacked the gimp.

though I hope he stays for a very long time, I think our infrastructure is solid enough to keep us at the top for a ling time after Pep may depart.
Unlike when Taggart and Busby left the rags, they duid so with ageing or poor squads and little or nothing coming through. We on the other hand have a solid youth system packed with talent and facilties and cash to attract other future talent.

The rags big problem is their immediate need for success. They have to be successful NOW in order to keep their global profile high. We hsve already seen them drop from the top of the rich list to being overtaken by 'Lickle City', that will hurt them.
Player after player ...failed
Manager after manager...failed
Their commercial status...failed and falling further.

What shocked me most about last night's game was that VAR disallowed two Rag 'goals'.
Are the authorities willing to cast the Rags adrift a la Arsenal?
If that happened in SAF's time the refs/VAR officials would not be allowed anywhere near a Rag match for a couple of years.

Was last night a new dawn or just a blip for the status quo.
Anyone any thoughts on this?

Was surprised I must say when I heard about the two disallowed goals. The first one they can have little argument over as it was basically the same reason that Villa’s equaliser in the cup was ruled out, which was an player in an offside position blocked a defender. The second was a surprise as there wasn’t a lot in it to be truthful and it would have been relatively easy for the VAR to rule in favour of the rags

Hopefully it’s a sign that the powers in the ivory towers are losing patience with them and are slowly casting them adrift. This season they have had a fraction of the penalties awarded in the previous two years.

There was the Boro goal in the Cup as well. Couldn't believe they allowed it.

Last season 11 penalties awarded
MANCHESTER UNITED finished the 2019/20 season having been awarded 22 penalties - more than Arsenal have had in the last three years combined.

No side in Europe's top five leagues have won more spot-kicks than the Red Devils since Barcelona during the 2015/16 term.

This season 3 so far, draw you're own conclusions

I think that goes some way to answering Dimples question as well. They’ve have gotten loads more pens and decisions going their way in previous seasons. I’m wondering what they’ve done to piss off the FA so that it’s now an even playing field.

Mase mate, it makes no difference at all who starts it or how many / what type of stars they put in. Go for it.

Calling City “god’s own club” does irk me for some reason, though.

I’ve done it. Copied JC’s Fulham one for a bit of luck!
