Hazy, Tevez literally left the club for nearly a full season to go and play golf.

Not sure there's ever been a more frustrating City player to be honest. Think how many he'd score if he didn't fuck it up all the time.

all caused by having too much time to think according to Pep, if his teammates made his scoring chances a complete surprise the goals would flow.

His contract finishes next year and it doesn’t look like City are in a rush. I doubt it’ll be as easy as offering him and he signs.

With every player you take the good with the bad.
Sterling playing well causes opponents big problems making things happen but he misses a lot of easy chances. Easy chances that have cost us in the past. That is the good vs. the bad.

At club level Sterling has stunk the place out for the past 18 months. There was very little good of any description. His form for us fell of a cliff. His form for England was brilliant in the middle of this dreadful run of form for us. That contradiction does not make sense, particularly when one manager improves players and one is a complete plank.

If he stays with us signing a new bumper contract, I hope the club have identified why he was absolutely useless for us for the past 18 months.

Playing devils advocate, maybe he was getting used to the team playing without a traditional striker with Aguero being injured for most of the campaign and he himself learning the ropes as a false 9.

Or it might just be a temporary loss of form which most if not all players go through.

The most frustrating player in the squad by a country mile for me as we just know in the first 5 minutes of a game if he's going to have a stinker.
I never fancy him to score in one on ones, he gets very few assists for a wide player as his passing and crossing is shit but he's got the amazing knack of being in the right place at the right time and his goalscoring record is great.
He was shit last season and scored 10 league goals but 17/18 he got 18, 18/19 he got 17, 19/20 he got 20 and this season after a poor start he's up to 10 and is now our 11th highest scorer of all time which for a wide man is phenomenal.
Back in my 1st choice 11 now which he certainly wasn't a few months ago but i'd know what games to sub him early.

I would still sell him.

But would be mad to say he did not worth every penny paid.

Possibly 3or 4 forwards who I would have in front of him. Mbappe Haaland Kane Salah. We’re not getting 2 of them and Haaland is seemingly going to Madrid or Bayern. The lad at Inter is he going to cut it with Pep. Sterling has faults but don’t they all, my rag family would have him over Rashford and Martial all day who are 1 in 10 merchants. Both offer nothing compared to Sterling who works his arse off. And get the amount if goals he does not my words. Greenwood had the makings of a player but now scapyard. Sterling’s proved his worth as you said, I also think the way he arrived from the scousers could repeat plays the not unhappy but wants a fresh start ala Milner.

In the Prem last season Rashford has more goals and more assists than Sterling. Not saying I’d rather have Rashford, I wouldn’t. Just pointing out there doesn’t seem to be a massive gap between them like you say.
