View from the Home End

Last weekend wasn’t fun, and it feels like a lifetime ago, but its time to move on. I agree with some of these comments that Pep will not allow his team to lose two on the trot. There needs to be some tweaks to last weeks squad and we should have a fighting chance. Is Fat Frank (do we sill call him that?) good enough to take on Pep? Personally, I don’t think so, even with a stadium full of drunk scousers.

COME ON CITY!!!

Referee: Paul Tierney
Assistants: Lee Betts, Stuart Burt
Fourth official: Martin Atkinson
VAR: Chris Kavanagh
Assistant VAR: Gary Beswick

Team Selection

Pickford
Coleman Keane Holgate Mykolenko
Doucoure Allan VDB
Gordon DCL Richarlison

And the rest…

I, for one, can't wait for the match, and the latest instalment of the, 'Everton building for the future', project.

We’re getting a spanking here. Take the 0-3 defeat, and we move on to the next one.

Just want a decent performance tbh…Wouldn't be surprised if we get something. It's the teams around us which we have always had a problem with.

We will win…We are Everton playing at home.

If the atmosphere is as good as the Leeds game, and it should be, I think we can get at least a point here. Goodison, with our full support is a joy to behold & can bring that little bit extra out of the players. Defensive, 10 men behind the ball, let them play their pass, pass, pass, sidewards. backwards, tippy tippy boring football, 90% possession & hit them on the break. We won’t lose this one. Gray will score & DCL from a set piece.

0-3, they are boss and they won't lose 2 in a row.

Lose this 10 nil…Then we hear Usmanov get sanctions and the stadium cancelled.

They will play out of their skin to troll us.

Goal for us early in the game and it could be a 1-1. Lets go with that and be blindly optimistic eh?

3-1 to the Toffees. Mancs were lucky to beat an Arsenal side (who we beat) in the last minute, lost against a Spurs side which we drew against and should have beaten at Goodison. The RS could be 3 points behind them by Wednesday night. Squeaky bum time for Pepsi. UTFT at 12/1!

They are absolutely boss at the best of times and they are going to be chomping at the bit after the Spurs result, only one outcome, hopefully we can defend resolutely and keep the score down enough that it doesn't do too much damage to our goal difference.

We’ll win, catapulting Liverpool on their title charge, because we’ll never again know unqualified joy as damned Evertonians.

We have to strike first like Spurs. Then we can implement Franks plan. Go behind then it will be a long evening.

This game is a tricky one to find away to approach it, Spurs definitely went defend deep, 2 lines of 4 that sometimes look like a back 8 and hit on the counter and it worked, but we don’t have a Harry Kane.

Lost our last 9 against these.

Pining for the Moyes days when we regularly beat this lot.

We all know it would take a miracle to score against this lot with the players we have. Just play with 9 at the back and take a goalless draw.

Hate to say it but being totally honest I believe regardless of formations we are on for a spanking again.

We'll concede at least four.

I'll be extremely surprised if we even get into their box five times!

Cheers CM

I too am nervous about this than I should be and I hate that Richarlison he's a snide cunt he'll fowling left right and centre whilst trying to get ours booked.

Last week was a blip we will hammer the bluenose scousers end of. Don’t normally make predictions but I think The lads are deflated after last week and will want to make a statement to the sewer rat football media
