Wow Hazy. That’s probably the most Rag-like post I’ve ever seen on here. Telling your own fans what they can and can’t do, and if it doesn’t side with your view then they should stop supporting City?

Like I say..wow!

Really Really Mase, facts are we have a moaning for fuck all element. Just saying 4-1 up and it’s excuse me can I get past mate. The same so called fans who were half way back to Euston v Gillingham. Rag hahaha the thought. It is what it is with City fans at times. As John said the good times have been here for a decade and we still have this BS chat x

It’s a fantastic time to be a City fan. I’ve honestly never seen anyone say it isn’t.

But it is more typical of being a City fan to be a pessimist than a happy go lucky type. Apart from the really young ones most of us have been through the crap with City for a hell of a long time so I doubt they’ll lose that pessimism anytime soon. Just because the majority of City fans are like that (and judging by how many fans in the match threads are nervous until we’re 3 or 4 up it is the majority) it doesn’t mean they should fuck off and stop supporting City!

I remember in the end of season DVD when we won Div1 with Keegan, Stuart Pearce said he’d describe City fans as manic depressives  There’s nothing more true!

Let fans feel the way they want without telling them to give up supporting their club!

The scum fan evacuated 70 mins en-Mase pun intended. City fans were not far behind. We are a strange bunch. Keegan era was a couple of seasons of joy, this is top table of world football it’s worlds away. Yesterday the negativity is either passed down or just a state of mind. I sit CB L2 and watch the best I will ever see. It defies logic you would leave and share the walk into town with rags against roaring off the team.Maybe it’s me mate.

I never suggested anyone give up supprting their club. I never wrote that, so please don't put words in my mouth, nor twist the ones I did say.
Your apology accepted,,,cos I'm nice like that!!!

I have supported City since 1956 (old fukker!!!!) and I well remember the empty days between !957 whan our FA Cup celebrations were dampened, usually fighting off relegation until failing and going down in '63.
I remember the Mecer/Allisson years where we chanted, drank, sang, drank, jumped up and down, drank some more and then celebrated what we considered to be paradise as we paaaartied our way through the following years...we paaaartied.

Relagation followed but we still partied. Amonst the dead men until Gillingham and them Balckburn...the fans on the hill, we we outplayed but scored fourand we partied. Thousands on the pitch and then in Albert Square half an hour later. And that was merely promotion. we ceelebrated and partied.

What did you expect when the ADUG Group took over and promised us the World in 15yrs? I believed it would be good but never dreamed it would be as good as this.
An absolute priviledge to have watched the likes of Kompany, Aguero, Zaba, Yaya, El Mago, KDB, Foden, Dias, Cancelo, Eddie etc.
Beyond my dreams that the song "The best team in all the land and all the World" would ever become (arguably) a reality.
Beyond my dreams that City would ever get near to matching the like of the rags, Barca or Real in terms of football and commercial viabilty.

If we could party and celebrate our time in the 3rd tier, why have we forgotten to how to celebrate and party now?
What did you expect when ADUG took over?I didn't expect to read that great rational point of debate or discussion that "this player is a turd" Great debating topic that innit?

If City fans are now unable to enjoy this ride and celebrate it and party, then my sugestion of Diazipam is wholly pertinent.

Just please don't forget to enjoy it and party. It's what we have always done.

I didn’t think you’d said it John. I was referring to the below -

I honestly don’t think I’ll ever not be pessimistic with City. We genuinely could be 5 up and I’ll still worry - the Cup Final against Watford is a good example, I was stood in the stands at Wembley worried still at 4-0  The “important” games I can’t enjoy anymore as I have to get blind drunk just to make it through them!

That saddens me Mase. Truly saddens me mate.
At 1-0 I was up and dancing.
At 2-0 I was up and dancing some more.
At 3-0 I was bouncing about like a kid in toy shop.
At 4-0 I quietened a bit. Age had caught up with me, I was knackered from dancing and bouncing about and I needed a sit down.
At the presentation, I had to pretend I had something in my eye, not macho for an old fukker to have a leaky tear duct is it?

But I enjoyed the journey from 0-0 to 4-0 to the max.I am enjoying this season just as much...well nearly

John, you are a good poster, you truly are, but people are different in every way and you need to accept that. There is a big difference between being negative and being pessimistic as Mase said.
Being a top club opened the floodgates against us from every single part, from fans to media.

It's a fantastic ride, as a club and where we are, but I hate who is around us. If you think that is negative, so be it, but I think we are swimming in poisonous water and it's harder to enjoy the ride. Of course, beating the rags will always make anyone's day, but I hope you understand where this is coming from.

Cheers.

To be honest I think it will change once the little one gets into football and I start taking her. I’ll probably get that enjoyment I had as a kid where it didn’t matter what the result was.

Mase, There are many important things in life mate, and it is easy to fall into the football addiction and allow our prioroties the skew.
As much as I love having my City addiction, cos that's what it is for more than a few on here, over the years learned that as important as City had become in my life, and it still remains important, it is only the most important of the things that are of lesser importance.

I know people who are that City addicted that they put City before their families, spend money they can't afford etc, and it is not a good place to be.
City is important but should not be that important that it has too severe an influence over our lives.
It was a hard lesson I had to learn and is the reason I am more chilled about performance and resuts.

I can get very emotional during games, often anger at a ref's decision, a poor pass, or when Razza holds the ball too long then fucks up his chance to score.
When we were relegated to the 3rd tier, I was emotionally devastated.....Not a healthy place to be Mate.
It was a lesson I had to learn and now I don't attend derby matches, I even turned down an offer by the BBC to co-commentate on one Derby because it a game atthe Etihad and the prog was being broadcast from a Manchester night club. I reasoned that the vast majority of the audience would be rags and I very much on my own as a blue. I couldn't trust what I might have said if City were victors and I didn't trust my stress and anger if we had lost.
Now I still react emotionally but the negative anger soon leaves me. I have learned that my family and my health is far far more important.

If you are not enjoying games, think on, that your little girl matters far far more that City. As does a number of things around you.
City are the most important thing of the things that are of lesser importance.
Good Luck

Holt in the Mail at it again banging on about owners basically at the trough and then uses a picture of the City owners !

The most generous owner you may meet !

trying to associate city owners with the likes of the Glazers or the other US bloodsuckers.

Holt’s mum is Emily Bishop from Corrie. Fun fact for you.

He also started his career working for the Liverpool Echo. Tells you all you need to know about the guy.

Holt is on the payroll of the red shirts, at every opportunity he shoehorns City into the bad owners debate, the last time was when the barcodes were bought by Saudi owners. Nick Harris is another red shirt shill who despises City, he had a picture of Mansour with Syrian dictator they will never drop the anti City narrative

Very weird bringing me into something that I don’t need to be mentioned in. But your posts have been weird for the last few months Sam.

You’re the one that literally took the piss out of people dying by putting “Russia vs Ukraine Match thread” but then you’re offended because someone puts the word “muppets” in a normal match thread title
