Pep will have no choice other than to make wholesale changes for the semi.
We need as many fit and ready for Brighton.
In the 2nd half tonight we looked very tired.

My thoughts are that with the way the game was ref’d, the cunts realised that they could push on even higher and get away with every single foul going, meaning that they could basically dictate how the game was played. That turned out to be the truth and they kicked on.

Cunts!

Ref should have put his stamp on first foul or the game and showed them he wasn't standing for it

The ref knew what he was doing, that game was a disgrace.

How may injuries? When you have to fight the world, where commercialism is involved, then you know it’s going to be hard.

I as just imagining if I was brought up in Madrid, using the same Philosophy that I am a City fan...I could never support Real, as they are the Madrid Rags...and this lot would be horrible to watch each week. So I would be stuck with either Rayo Vallecano or Getafe....

It's pretty clear that ref should NEVER officiate a top game again. I've seen some bent refs, particularly in the champions league, but this lad managed to be just completely oblivious to the rules of football itself.

So, so strange lads like this are put in charge of protecting not only the laws of the game, but the players who play it.

It was the closest I've ever seen a modern game played with what was essentially no referee.

Anyway, Holy fuck. We've got balls of steel. Everyone on commentary and in the studio has said the same. Soft City left the room a long time ago.

I fucking love this team. I fucking LOVE this club.

We showed up today and had a game plan that was not to force the game which was risky but it worked. Fucking disgrace of a club, won't use the word football as they are pretty much the opposite. Big shouts out to both CBs and Ake and Fern as i posted earlier. Sloppy in possession but that may have been tired minds after sunday. We did the job, pretty it wasn't. Ref did not have a clue from the outset and how rhat can be allowed to happen in their flagship event in a wtr final is beyond belief. Hang your fucking heads in shame UEFA that was a disgrace

This is EXACTLY why I wanted us to play Atletico. The struggle will bind our players like no other tie could.

Saturday might be a problem but we will go on now and do great things.

I feel we have a different ADN in this competition after that Dortmund game.

I think City from before would have bottled it, but last night, even if we were shite, we showed composure and hold it together. As Dazby said, we won through unity, the boys pulled together and showed they are there for each other like the family we are.
I really enjoyed their celebration on the pitch at the end, showed what it meant to them.

I don't think we can win the treble, but if I would have to choose, I want the fucking league. I want our local treble to stay intact.
Fuck the Champions League and their bent organization.

To be honest this was standard stuff when playing Spanish (especially Atletico strangely) and Italian clubs in the late 60s, 70s and 80s. And the refs making last night's look excellent. I particularly remember Celtic getting kicked to death once (not sure why!) and knocked out.

Both Arsenal and Ipswich had punch-ups at the after-match banquet, which used to be a thing. Not sure if they weren't both at Lazio.

I think the ref was frightened. I read an Atletico journalist's view of the match earlier. Atleti were excellent and only stopped from going through by the shameful time-wasting of Guardiola's men. Basically.

Here is the difference between how we are treated and how the Dippers are treating in the CL.

When the Dippers played Athi in the group stages, Athi had a player sent of in each game. In the second game, a Dipper committed the exact same foul as the Athi player who got a red card in the first game. Dipper got a yellow.
Last night the tackles going in where far worse than what the Dippers got, yet it was allowed.

BTW, in the Pl, would Sterling's goal on Sunday have been disallowed for offside? Unlikely.

We are awesome. We really are. As Pep stated previously, nobody gives us anything.

I loved the togetherness at the final whistle. That has elevated the togetherness and team spirit more than winning a cup in my opinion. We faced an ultimate test there and came through. Over the last few seasons we’ve beaten everyone at some point. Bayern, Barca, Real, PSG, Liverpool, Dortmund. Not all in the last. The only left left to overcome is ourselves and I think we did that tonight.

For his part I've just read from Simeone - when asked about City's timewasting (alleged) he said that there are many different ways to play the game and that's how it is basically. When asked out Atleti's 'physicality' he said something to the effect that they were playing probably the best team in the world and the only thing that matters to him is to win, nothing else. Only regret is that they are out.

It's sort of refreshing that with both managers you get what you see - no pissing about talking rubbish and having sly digs like the Klopp and Tuchel types. 2 worlds collide with asort of strange mutual respect.
