Just watched it on sky now.

The interesting thing was when one reporter actually said, CRAIG WAS NOT HERE YESTERDAY, which Mancini flatly denied.

Some cunt is lying, and the truth probably lies somewhere in the middle.

I can't see what the press would have to gain by saying that Bellamy was not at training if he was, something very fishy in all this

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has confirmed that Craig Bellamy could be available for selection against Liverpool on Sunday.

The Italian has denied a report of a serious rift with the striker, who has been sidelined with a knee injury.

However Mancini said they had a difference of opinion about the way the problem was being managed.

He will now monitor Bellamy’s fitness over the weekend and the Welshman might come into contention and face Liverpool.

According to the report, Mancini screamed at Bellamy after the player refused a request to train on Thursday with one of the manager’s Italian staff.

The Italian apparently then told him not to come back from three months.

That was emphatically disputed by Mancini, who said: “Today Craig is here, working with the physio. It was the same yesterday.

“These things (an argument) can happen in a job. I don’t have problems with Craig.

“I spoke with him in the office and read that I shouted at him. But I didn’t. We just spoke face-to-face.

“He is having treatment at the training ground and if the knee is okay, he will be available for Sunday.”

I think we are taking this press persecution complex a bit far.

The reporter at the presser STATED that Bellamy wasnt there yesterday, Mancini stated that he was. Somebody is lying.

I have no idea what a reporter at a press conference would stand to gain by stating something as fact to a manager which he knew was not true and could easily be proved.

Yes they do, but you cant have it both ways mate, either the manager is lying or the sun were lying. I believe the truth lies somewhere in between, but Mancini appears to have told a whopper there - unless Doug can confirm Bellamy was in fact there

Read about it on another forum and whilst I was shocked, I was more frustrated. Such a trivial thing and to be quite honest with you all, I think its Mancini's fault. Bellers was right when he said that he and the sport science staff at City are the only ones who appropriately know how to treat his knee injury.

Mancini doesn't.
Brian Kidd doesn't.

But Bellamy does. Mancini should have let Bellers explain that to him and this row would never happen, and for Bobby to tell Bellers not to come back for another 3 months? Its ludicrous. He surely knows that we need him, he's been one of our best players this season. His pace and skill have worked wonders for us since his arrival and his winning mentality is something not a lot of our players have except maybe; De Jong, Barry, Tevez, Kompany and SWP.

Bottom line is guys is that we need him. This is all so childish, its as if their at primary school squabbling over who gets to take kick off. Completely ridiculous event.

Ah, we've been trying to find that "mole" for as long as I can remember. I seem to remember Franny Lee going on about it years ago.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?
