Favourite game: "Manchester City versus QPR has to be (when City won the title in 2012). Bearing in mind what was at stake, I don't think it will ever happen again - team winning on goal difference with the last kick of the match."

Booking Sergio Aguero for his celebration in that game: "Unfortunately it had to be done. [If he was already on a yellow card] I'd have totally not done it. I'd have told the bosses 'think of the bigger picture'."

only cos he's a scouse2 fan and didn't want the rags to win.

Top article on the BBC football page is all about how Joao Felix could be on the edge of greatness. No surprise that this big up comes a day before we are due to play them. Didn’t see articles like this before the rags game.

Theme continued on BBC/MUTV national news just now - headlining the ('quadruple contesting') dippers AWAY at outsiders Benfica with lengthy VVD interview, followed by a quick report for our HOME tie against fancied Atletico while sneering at Pep's overthinking joke with no reference to the treble.

The airport boss Karen Smart when wheeled out on the local TV news didn't seem to think it was much of a problem that passengers will continue be standing for up to 6 hours in queues stretching to car parks outside the terminals for another month at least. Staggering complacency to be added to incompetence. Their reputation has nose dived as a result of this fiasco.

Manchester City will unveil a statue of club legend Sergio Aguero on the 10th anniversary of his title-clinching goal, it has been revealed.
The Argentine famously scored in injury-time against QPR to lead the club to Premier League success in 2012.
The unveiling will be centrepiece of a day of anniversary celebrations at the club's Ethiad Stadium on 13 May.
The club said it would honour the striker's "legacy" and "one of the greatest comebacks".
Aguero's strike in the fourth minute of added time in the final game of the Premier League 2011-12 season delivered City's first league title since 1968.
His statue, which has been crafted by sculptor Andy Scott, will stand alongside the artist's statues of Aguero's teammates Vincent Kompany and David Silva at the stadium.
The Scottish sculptor is well-known for his large-scale works, which include The Kelpies near Falkirk and a giant bear in East Lothian.

Manchester City said it was "delighted" to be holding events in Manchester and across the globe to celebrate "what was arguably one of the greatest comebacks in sporting history".
"Sergio Aguero's legacy will be honoured through the unveiling of a statue designed and created by renowned sculptor, Andy Scott," a spokesman said.
Two-thousand of the club's fans will also be given the chance to attend an event which will see key members of the title-winning squad, including Aguero, interviewed on stage.

Aguero, who left City in June 2021 after scoring a club record 260 goals and winning five Premier League titles, one FA Cup and six League Cups over 10 years, retired on health grounds in December.
The 33-year-old remains the highest-scoring overseas player in Premier League history with 184 goals, nine more than France and Arsenal great Thierry Henry.
Only Alan Shearer (260), Wayne Rooney (208) and Andrew Cole (187) have scored more in the competition, but no-one has a better minutes-per-goal record than the Argentine, who averaged a goal every 107.9 minutes.

Class. Well done City

If anyone ever had any doubt about media bias, then this week should surely be the nail in that coffin.

Pep wants to leave and our owners are horrible, cheating cunts.

Meanwhile, Liverpool have a chance to save football, with their swashbuckling football and players who are paid with love (and hugs), rather than filthy Arab oil money.

Delusional. The other year when we were neck and neck right to the end with Liverpool - they did a vote for non-City or Liverpool fans on who they wanted to win the league. We won by quite a considerable amount.

Exactly, other fans see through it, influenced by the BS sure but they do see through it. As i have said many times that other fans are not immune to the fact the media dominate the news on two teams out of all the leagues. That doesn't go unnoticed and neither does the bias - unless of course you work in the media itself.

Without going off on one - in this day and age i'm surprised that someone hasn't set up an alternative football news / forum / outlet that is open to all fans bar Rags and Dippers - where news and discussion about all the clubs in the country can be submitted and discussed.
I would think there is a business model somewhere in that, the collective fan base is fucking enormous.

MotD2 again showing the single point difference since August 2018, Klopp and Guardiola were both in place in August 2016. Since August 2016 City have 517 points and Liverpool have 489 so since Guardiola got the job, despite a first season that saw him have to play with Zabaleta, Clichy, Sagna, Kolarov, Fernando and Toure who weren't Pep type players at this stage of their careers, the actual points difference is 28 points.

Stop speaking nonsense, pal. Let's look at the more important parts. Did you know that Alexander Arnold reached an impressive assist milestone?

If you look at the only stat that matters, the difference is 1 point, from August 2021 to 11 April 2022
