Very naive from city. Should have controlled the game better each time we went two ahead. Peps lack of subs hurt us, foden look nackered and gave away a very cheap free kick for the peno. Jack should have been on at that stage. We needed some fresh legs and something different for them to think about.

I reckon we go out next week. Unfortunately.
derby day the scores were level,
then the goat was fed by neville,
silly boy should know for sure,
feed the goat and he will score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some credit has to go to Madrid. The second goal was a beauty and I certainly wouldn’t blame Fernandino. He played well going forward but was always going to struggle defensively. Scoring four against Madrid pretty decent so I would look more at the defensive side. It certainly won’t be 0-0 in the second leg.

we won - could have been more but I'll back us to go through with Cancelo at right back (preferably Walker) and Ake (preferably Cancelo) on the left.

We went to AM and did a job there. Hopefully we’ve got everyone back. Disappointed and feels like a loss but bigger picture we can go to Madrid and get a result. Just got to be positive.

Laporte, as Sterling, tends to fuck our whole defensive system because we need to play our best defender, Ruben, not on his natural position.

I’ve said it many times, he is a ticking bomb in Europe.

Other than that, we’ve beaten Real Madrid, the biggest club that ever was, for the third time in a row.

Cracking game. We missed our two full backs for sure. Also they scored a from a non chance, a full back fuck up, and an unlucky penno (off his head onto hand). On another day we win that 5-0.

The big worry for me is that we do not appear to have the ability to kill off big games. Look at the two games against the dippers, and now this game. This should have been all over by half time.

I think with Walker back for next week, or Cancelo, we will be fine.

Dias played RCB. That is his natural position. Foden honest enough to admit he missed a good chance as did Mahrez. Allowed them back into the match.

Dias natural position is LCB, as a natural leftfooter.

Chelsea just stuffed them 3-1 at their place. We'll smash them next week Kyle and Cancello in

Would be good to have Walker and Cancelo back. Saying that, if we seen the same again then we’re through.

We'll if he's back, we have problems. Shockingly poor full back.

They are lucky bastards to still be in this tie. I fear that will cost us in the next game, but what a sign of how good we are that I’m saying this about Real Fucking Madrid.
Tracking back is overrated.

Dias is not a natural left footer. He can play at LCB but his preferred position is on the right. He’s more comfortable passing with his Right foot. Laporte was very unlucky with the penalty. It bounced up and hit him on the arm. He might have sensed the danger earlier with the second goal and Ederson might have done better but it was a very good break which was always on the cards against Fernandinho who cannot be blamed.

Dias played LCB pretty much the whole season with Stone last year. He was class.

Mate, he played close to a full season as a LCB with Stones last year, best partnership in the world, and before that the same as Benfica.
