I get the feeling that my dad, at 70 years old, is never going to see his team win the CL and that’s what hurts the most.

Utterly vile night. I called 3-1 to them in ET and I am disgusted it was right, especially being a minute away and needing to concede twice, which is a disgrace or freak, take your pick. Horrible.

I am most upset with KDB. He's a fantastic player but didn't show up in the key game. Somewhat unacceptable. I'll try and watch those 2 goals and work out WTF happened but it looked too easy.

How the team gets over this for the 4 remaining games is a serious problem now. Special praise for Walker, what an attitude he has. As for the CL, it's bent. It's seeded, so that tells you everything, but that referee last night was on a different level.

I think he was injured. He was barely walking around the second half.

Hard loss to take, painful infact. But that is the level we're at. Win the league and it lessons the blow. Strengthen and go again next season.

I keep hearing this. Makes you wonder does it do more harm than good. Seems we have a fair few playing through the pain barrier and at the top level you cannot sustain that. Thought KDB gave the ball away more than most last night at least he was off the pitch when we decided to cave. All out strongest team for the final four games but without walker and stones we are making do at rhe back and that still needs addressing in the summer

Soon as Walker went off we were fucked. Worst I've seen Cancelo play, him and Zinchenko didn't stop a cross the last 30 minutes and why did Dias make that stupid challenge. I thought he was poor both games.
However why did we panic so much when they got the 1st, we've seen games out like that loads of times.
As someone who's been going since I was a kid in 1970 the Premier League will always come 1st for me though, so long as we win that

I think this result makes me more annoyed about pissing it up the wall last year. Our path this year has been a lot harder than last.

Well, now we know how the Gillingham fans felt. As I recall, though, they went on to win the playoff final the following year. Be nice if….

Only positive from last night is that the kids that were on the bench will have experienced that heartbreak first hand. It will set them up well for the future - they won’t want that again.

We’ve got some great kids coming through….got to look at the positives I suppose.

The only consolation for me is that they have done similar to PSG and Chelsea after being outplayed. What a funny lot - it's unheard of to come back at City like that. Can't even blame Pep much this time - it seemed all the subs were going really well - except Razza who was very much his usual self but we were lost by then.

Problem is, we are the best team around and could end up with fuck all.

Coulda woulda shoulda are the last words of a fool, so roll on next year

I think the fact I know we are the best team around is what hurts the most. I dont believe this team is as good as the 100 points team but the competition was a lot stronger. Fact is R Madrid arent good and werent good across 180 mins but we fell asleep for 5 mins and overall somehow conceded 6 goals to them, you concede 6 goals you cant complain if you dont go through.

Its gut wrenching, didnt sleep a wink. No one even to blame really just one of those things and its happened at an awful time.I think it would be a bit more bearable if it wasnt a gift of a final for the dippers now too. There is a strong possibility they sweep up all four which is sickening to think about.

That's pretty much how I feel too. Late on when we were two up. I made the comment that I thought our goal would have calmed me down, but it hadn't, and I was still crapping myself. I also said it would be a travesty if we lost, we'd been so much better than them over two legs.
To me, to get through to the final and lose to dippers is the nightmare scenario, so at least that won't happen.

Looks like the narrative from the red shirt media is, “ they could implode now” and “ how can they recover from this” well they had better grow some balls and fast, fuck the media, fuck the dippers fuck them all and batter the fucking barcodes on Sunday

We are the best around.

But we cant move forward needing 10 chances per goal, and letting every chance = a goal. Suggests defence needs improving....

That's just wishful thinking on their part.
I actually think last night will have the opposite effect, and I'm pretty confident about the league.

One thing that is really annoying me that I keep seeing from some City fans on social media is the typical “but we got relegated to Division 2 once”. Please stop saying this, it’s embarrassing.

It’s not an excuse and people haven’t fuckin forgot about being down there. We shouldn’t feel privileged just to get to a semi because we played Macclesfield Town once. That mentality is why we crumble against teams like Madrid.
