Personally I find his silly giggling a bit irritating. As you say he goes overboard in being seen to be impartial sometimes.

Your boys seem to get a free pass where the CL is concerned. Never heard it mentioned how Arsenal have never won it.

Every manager over the last 50 years has always said the goal at the start of the season is to win the league and that will never change. It shows who the best side really is

I am 100% convince after we win it the first time we will heard the following:
- yeah, but they won it only once, look at LIVAH POU
- yeah, they've won it, but still they don't have as many titles as UNITED AND LIVAH POU
- yeah, they've won it, but still they are missing the EUROPA LEAGUE to have all three major trophies like UNOTED AND LIVAH POU have

Oh it's mentioned all the time, mate.

Especially when we go up Villa Park or the City Ground

But not in the media. We still get the invincibles thrown at us. A fantastic achievement which hadn’t been done in the modern era and is unlikely to be done again. But despite never winning a CL we are told they are one of the best sides ever. Don’t get me wrong, they were a great team. Unbeaten is a great effort no two ways about it.

But, we have broken records galore, and also achieved two feats which had never been done before, in winning a domestic treble and getting 100 points in a single season. And yet on Sunday, fucking Carragher suggested Pep has been a failure!!

Seemingly we bored everyone to death doing it.
While Liverpool got everyone excited when winning their solitary PL title, must have been the tension waiting on all those VAR decisions. Strange as they always went one way.

In theory, you could go unbeaten all season and still be relegated so it’s not that great an achievement

Anything that hasn't been done before surely is a great achievement?

You are right though that in theory you could go down with 38 draws. Unlikely scenario in reality though.

Not all "never been done before" records are great. Would you class getting the lowest points total or lowest goals scored in a PL season as a great achievement? :?: :D

Nah, see I think knocking the Invincibles is a recency bias. For what it's worth, 3 (possibly 4) PL champions always stick out for me. Man City as centurions. Man United in 1999 (although that season wasn't mightily impressive in the league, it was more what they did in other competitions). Arsenal in 2004 (going unbeaten and winning the league just won't happen again in my view). Leicester in 2016 (again, will never happen and perhaps the most impressive of the lot).

Having said all that, as an Arsenal fan, it was more enjoyable watching the team in 2002. There seemed to be an impenetrable grit about then while playing such good football.

The lack of the European Cup is always mentioned for Arsenal. I suppose I just hear it more. It's more pronounced when you're in the CL, I suppose. We've dipped into irrelevance the last 10 years or so. I'll still say the CL isn't as big a trophy as the PL, though (only in size)

Micah saying in today’s press that KDB is not at the level of Yaya and David Silva, it’s all about opinions at the end of the day. But who has told him to write that this week? Don’t buy it’s his opinion, it’s nonsense and means nothing so why put that in the press, maybe to affect some player of the year award? Who knows but Micah is a puppet on a string and unfortunately does not have the wit to see it

The timing, like I said in my original post, of these negative stories confuses me. What does he have to gain for it?

Imagine Carragher coming out and saying, “Salah isn’t as good as Gerrard” this week. Makes no sense.

Uh, difficult one. prime Yaya and prime Merlin were incredible.
Silva, for me, was at the same level as Iniesta and Xavi.

Imho, It's impossible to say who was better.

I imagine Micah was asked a question of who in their prime was better or something like that. He just isn’t bright enough to know that his reply will be taken out of context and used to try and belittle the current player when we have an important game coming up.

End of story , Tin Tin is way ahead of Merlin and Yaya.

runs and works harder in midfield , sometimes sublime assists and score more than the other two.r

Sad to see the direction Micah is heading.
After today's game he was so far up (Liverpool's) and Klopp's arse that when Klopp opened his mouth I think I could see Micah's face.

He is a puppet on a string and is so thick he probably does not even know it.
