10 Years

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

10 Years

Postby Paul68 » Thu May 12, 2022 6:02 pm

Can you believe it....? - 10 years ago tomorrow..... 10 years!

Agueroooooooooo!

I will admit to the world I had tears in my eyes....... and am proud of it

Never will I forget that..... never....

What a team, what a player...

Our club..... you don't need me to explain why!

(this is from the club site)
Sunday 13 May 2012 is a date Manchester City fans will never forget. On a day of unimaginable drama, with a set of circumstances scriptwriters would have rejected for being too far from reality, all our dreams came true. Champions of England, again.

Got some blue moons in the fridge - finishing early tomorrow - be sat in man flat - watching vids and interviews and reliving it all

All the best blues, and here's to the next 10!
I wish there was a way to know you are in the good old days....before you've actually left them...

I was living in Spain at the time, in the country, had a lap top with a dongle, so was watching a text feed of the game, have to confess when I saw the rags had won, we we’re losing I switched the fucker off and went to sit by the pool, finished my Estrella went for another, opened the lap top, the headline “ Manchester City are Champions “ couldn’t believe it, let out a big cheer and continued to drink cold beer the rest of the day.
Fantastic feeling, just wish I could have shared the Agueroooooooo moment

That day will forever go with me as one of the best memories I have.

Posted the story a while back, however, I will forever hear my old man, shouting from the other room, with two seconds ahead of my river, that Sergio scored. His voice, his tone, the pure joy of it.
He is gone now, but that will stay for me forever. It was like yesterday.

Nothing will ever top that.

The extra drop is easily doable, so people better not bitch it if we win

I was in Mexico (puerto Vallarta ) on the 27th floor of “Icon” towers (penthouse , of course ,,,just for OD ) and when he scored I ran to the top balcony screaming Aguerooooooooooooooo — the people below thought I was committing suicide !!!

What a fucking match —— no idea where I was in any other news worthy day in my life , but that day ,, yes , I knew where and who I was with .
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

No city fan alive then will ever forget it. But where did all those years go? Feels like two seasons ago.

First time I’d ever left to be fair. Was that nervous I was pissed from 10am so couldn’t even see straight by kick off. Literally walked out when Mackie scored and made it back in as they were bringing the trophy out. I loved the day.

Reveal? You make it sound like I’ve whipped my cock out for you  There’s not much to see, but Villa at home if we’ve won the league I’ll do it just for you Nick

Me, the eldest lad and the missus went from resigned defeat to hitting the roof, well me and him. The dog was terrified and ran to the kitchen for at least an hour.

Not unlike the Dickov moment but 10 times the intensity and 100 times the meaning

Though i stayed, I didn't see much more than you. After Mackie scored I had my head in my hands for most of the match after became apparent the only idea we had was for Zabba to keep floating hopeful balls into the box.

I wouldn’t have remembered anything had I stayed anyway. The walk towards Piccadilly and sprint back sobered me right up  What a day!

Apart from Jake being born its the most remembered, treasured day and a memory to behold. Tears of throwing it all away to tears of disbelief at seeing 'that' goal!!!!.

Wow. Never will football ever see such a thing again.
I haven't a fecking clue what I'm doing! Gillie come back man I want my sig back. As the Photobucket thingy gone?
