After all these years of Cityups and downs, you'd think I would be immune to all this shit, but for some reason, I am as nervy as I was as a kid in th Kippax

Nothing changes, mate. Whether we are going down with a penny in the bank or winning a domestic quadruple, there’s always that sense that we have the ability to shoot ourselves in the foot, just as the CL semi taught us.

Too true, mate.

I often hear the word "expectation" bandied around about football, mostly by people who ought to know better. I prefer the word "hope" to describe my thoughts before a match or season.

It is, though, very hard not to be confident in this group of players.

Amen to that, brother.

Rather sarcastic of me, but it’s there. If we’re 3-0 up after 30 minutes, I might be tempted to flick between games.

All we can ask is for it to be in our hands and it is. Win today and its a massive step towards retaining the title. The way we have reacted since RM tells us where the squad is at and we could do more harm to the GD today to take the pressure off our defence

I’d go as far in saying that this is a free hit as long as we don’t get stuffed. Lose by the odd goal and we’ll still have a decent goal difference going into the Villa game, who I think we’ll beat comprehensively.

Not to say that I think we won’t win, just that the previous few games have afforded us a sense of distance between us and Liverpool, who have seemingly struggled of late.

Awin today will make it beyond sweeter Mate. It will effectively give us the title.
I agree we will beat Villa but we will be relieved of a ton of pressure and nerves.

A good win today will pile the pressure on the dippers and make their last 2 games meaningful for them.
Just the pressure they will need for Madrid to beat them.

We will have to have a beer or two at the Villa game next week pal .

Stating the obvious but that defence worries me, Antonio will bully that back line, hope we have our shooting boots on, come on City win today and dippers can fuck off with their quad

Buggins turn again, we'll probably lose now. Fern is a huge risk.

I’m more worried about the pace of Fornals, Lanzini, and Bowen. They have a decent front 4 playing.

It’s like Pep wants to make things even harder for us.

Foden should always start.

Ake should be starting considering he’s been great lately and Laporte has been poor lately. Not to mention Fern is not a centre back.
