Predict the scores and PL 2022 winners

Postby Dimples » Sun May 15, 2022 6:36 pm

Lots of comments and opinions in the WH match day thread.
In fairness a lot of it hysterical over-reactions, what I would expect at a womans book club :)

Predict the scores and PL 2022 winners and then lets revisit:

Saints Vs. Dippers: 1 - 3
Dippers Vs. Wolves: 3 - 0
City Vs. Villa: 4 - 1

City win the 2022 PL

Saints 1 cunts 2

Cunts 3 wolves 0

City 3 vile villa .......... 2 (assuming we are going to be playing a very patched up back 4 and who is picked to lead the front line)

One thing for sure is Fernandinho can not come on until 88th minute for deserved farewell like Noble got today.

The vermin will win both of their games. That is a given.

I am really worried about Villa at home. Especially the state of our defence.
Ederson is a concern.
Terrified at the thought of fern playing at the back.
Defensively cancelo and Zinch have their problems.
Typical city, expect a really hard slog against villa. Slippy will have them well fired up for his buddies.

I'll go for,
Saints 0 Vermin 2
Vermin 3 wolves 0
I am torn on City 2 villa 2 or City 3 villa 2. It will be tight and tense.

In this run in we needed to win all our games and today could well cost us the title.

A draw? We couldn't have asked for a better opponents on final day. If can't beat them even with a shambolic defence then we don't deserve the title.

Don't express your concerns, mate. You'll sound negative.

Piss aside, I agree, but we need to kill the game quick.

Could not give two flying fucks about the red scouse games. We could be champions before we play though which would be nice. Villa have a game on Thursday but lets be honest, if we cannot beat them at home to retain the title we may as well call it a day. Slippy can plead with them to give their all but the fact is they are there for the taking and will get to see Grealish lift the trophy

That’s true, but we’ve failed to beat Southampton home and away this season. It’s a funny old game and pretty much a one off match. Anything can happen.

We've also failed to beat spuds and palace home and away whilst also not losing to red scouse in the league. None of which matters. All about Villa. We have 2 days off then train for the rest of the week and lift the trophy on sunday. The best team wins the league - always has done and thats us.

Yeah, I really hope I am very wrong and it turns out to be a stroll in the park @ 4-0.
But looking at it logically and given the circumstances of the occasion, dodgey at the back, last day, pressure, typical city etc etc.
I cant see it being straightforward.
