We should be taking this with room to spare, but I am very worried that the clamour for a Liverpool quadruple could have a real influence on the game from those in power. Basically, if we don’t bring our A-Game, I can see an F1 style finish on the table.

Come on Bear.
If you give in, the only thing you can be certain of, is you lose.
Come out fighting and you have a chance.
It is still ours to lose and I don't think we will do that.

If they lose and we lose we win! :D :D

Not strictly true in 95 JC. Blackburn lost at the dippers but the rags drew at West Hamwith Cole spurning numerous chances to win it and had they done so they’d have pipped Rovers to the title

The one thing we have in our favour is that whoever is intent on handing the quadruple to the dippers and whatever strategies they employ, their ability to change City's result in their favour is only limited.
They can give cards, they can send a player or two off, they can assist the dippers, who are expected to win their game but if we come out and play as we usually do, we will beat Villa. They can disallow the odd goal but if we do the business and score more than 2 or 3 or 4, they can't disallow them all without giving their game away.

All we have to do is be City and do what City usually do.

Agreed, apart from when they get us down to 7 men ;-)

However, we could also have an off day.

I really hope Grealish has his best game for us and scores a hat trick just to piss all over the "ex" narrative that we'll constantly hear between now and Sunday. All I've heard is "Gerrard" and tonight Sly took it even further by throwing Coutinho, Ings and McCallister in there. Not once have I heard "Grealish could win it against his former club "
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

Keep The Faith

v Newcastle 1967/8 - Won last day to be Champions

v QPR 2011/12 - Won last day to be Champions

v West Ham 2013/14 - Won last day to be Champions

v Brighton 2018/19 - Won last day to be Champions

We have never lost in this situation, and wont this time....We are VERY GOOD at seeing the job done
Villa fit the opponent profile exactly to all the teams we played to win on the last day.

I know history means nothing, but we as fans would have felt the same each time....Ready for number 5
Has any other side done what we have...It takes bottle and we have it

It's this fucking league, pal.
I've never heard anywhere else someone say Top 8, or Top 10. At this rate some will be in Top 17 if they don't relegate.
This PR is about how amazing this league is and half of the teams are full of freelancing plumbers.

Teams like Soton are what's wrong and the reason they are staying up is because they give points when it's needed and they have zero aspirations. They are glad to be in TOP 17, get their money and sign some papers when their owners, real owners, asks them to do it.

Makes my piss boil.
