Agree with this, looks like a player Pep could take to another level.

Now being reported City are interested in him, 30 million bid mentioned in MailOnline, I know a player when I see one, ex Barca kid too, all the credentials for a Pep player

He was in tears when he scored in their previous game - thought it was a bit OTT but if he's City bound that might account for it

Yeah I’d go for Cucurella as well. He’s looked tidy from the little I’ve seen of him.

If we sign left back and DM then we’re set for the season ahead

True, but it very much depends on who goes. If Gundo goes, he will need replacing.

The beeb are linking us with a move for Kalvin Phillips to replace Fernandinho......, missed a good chunk of this season out for 16 games (Dec 5th-end of March)

Their source was the Mirror article of yesterday, valued at £50M, looked half decent for England in a few matches last summer, anyone else wish to offer an opinion?

I know we've been linked with Aurélien Tchouameni but personally not keen signing another French player, they always come with some sort of baggage or chip on their shoulder (Anelka, Mangala, Nasri, Clichey, Mendy) I can only think of one who just got on with the job & that's Distin (even he went anti City after he left).

Not seen too much of him other than as a pair with Rice for England. Id have thought we would be aiming a bit higher than this guy. Still, we will be light if Gundo does end up going so maybe worth a punt

Can't believe you left Sibierski off this list.

Also my memory is playing tricks on me, why can't I remember hearing about David Sommeil having a heart attack on the pitch and going into a coma for a week in 2007.

Don't think you can blame all French players for 1 or 2 having an attitude. Don't think Mangala or Clichy had one nor Sagna or Laporte who you've left off.
I'd have loved Henry and Vieira at their peak and they caused very little grief.

Calvin Phillips?

No thanks

He'll join Stones on the treatment table for half a season.

So Mbappe is staying at Paris and La Liga, better said Tebas are going to take them to court.
Fantastic, just fantastic.

If this had happened three weeks ago would RM have got Haaland?

Madrid are skint , Barca too ,

like the rags, all need new stadia, massively in debt .

they are buying on the cheap .

almost identical deals offered to him, but since PSG won La Liga are outraged and complaining to UEFA about state clubs avoiding FFP - US owned Sky right behind them against dirty Arab money and also giving Yank owned Burnley & Leeds full support against non-Yank Everton. Everybody must see this fraud.

Agree with this, looks like a player Pep could take to another level.

By another level you mean he can play as a false nine?

With Haaland and Alvarez here, being pushed by potential future stars, I think we won't be seeing much of the false nine strategy

1. Change in the rules

2. Pep gets a goalie that can play footie

revolutionised the game.

So two young and sensational players

are we about to see a different game , a different strategy next season ?

Staying ahead of the game ... so to speak.

Don't think so, but it's unbelievable.
Imagine the Premier League taking to court a player because he refused to come to the rags/scouse and stayed at his club. Makes absolutely zero sense, except it does:
1. La Liga and Tebas are the definition of football corruption and puppets in the hands of Madrid.
2. The Spanish league will lose a lot of money with him staying in France.

What is interesting is how things have changed for the old cartel.
The two most exciting young players in world football are at City and PSG.
Utd are not being associated with mega moves, even in the press.
Liverpool are having issues with Salah and Mane extending contracts.

Haaland and Mbappe are a real headache for the old guard. They are box office, the successors to Messi and Ronaldo, they will have to be hyped because they will drive revenues and subscriptions but they play for the hated City and PSG.

Dilemma time
