But those two are the proof that we've moved up a level. When they joined they were both amongst those who's names would be first on the team sheet. They both now realise that the level has gone up and they will get limited playing time.

Jesus has never been first name on the teamsheet?

You're splitting hairs, I don't mean literally the first name on the teamsheet.
When they signed, they could both expect to be first team regulars, now they can't because the bar's been raised.
And they both know it, so they have the choice of moving on and being big fish in a smaller pond, or renewing their contracts and not playing regularly.
And I imagine that's the way it's going to be from now on, certainly while Pep's here.

I think there’s only Kev and Ederson that are classed as players that will play every match. The rest are all rotated. It’s been like that since Pep came.

Sterling started more games in the Prem than Grealish last season and one less than Foden. They all play roughly the same amount of games.

Funny old world, imagine this in 2009.

City happy to move on England and Brazilian internationals Sterling and Jesus.
Both were integral parts of City's most successful period, the club winning: 4 PL, 4 LC, 1 FA cup and 1 Community shield.
Neither is a guaranteed starter for City so are seeking regular starts elsewhere.

Frankie De Jong is wanted by MU but he does not want to join them.
He wants to stay at Barca but Barca want to sell him to raise cash because they are broke.
Transfer talks are dragging on and on and on simply because he does not want to sign for MU.

City have signed young superstar Haaland. MU were not even in the frame. Not even part of the transfer discussion.

If MU do not win the PL in 22/23, it will be 10 years since they last won it.
If City win the PL in 22/23 it will be their 6th win in 10 years and their third in a row.
The bookies have City as 8/13 favs to win with MU anywhere between 25/1 and 45/1 to win.

My Dad used to stay that life was like a wheel that never stopped turning, sometimes you are at the bottom, sometimes the top.

Enjoy this while it lasts.

The BS has started (through omission this time).

Did a quick google, not one mention of his new salary anywhere?
Maybe he took a pay cut for the honor of representing Liverpool for another three years

So not a word about his salary, add-ons, the total cost to Liverpool and if it compromises Liverpool's wage structure.
Nothing about potential unrest in the camp, with the likes of VVD demanding a pay rise.
Compare with the reporting when Haaland joined - transfer fee, add-ons, image rights, agent fees, Dad's fees, bonuses, etc...

Does this mean Nunez or Diaz are surplus to requirements?
Media have told us they are the Salah and Mane replacements and how clever Liverpool were with planning their replacements
Bet it switches to strength in depth, two world class players for every position.

Salah is 30, I don't care how well he looks after himself, he has peaked and the next three years will show he is in decline.

Paul Joyce of The Times reporting: He will earn ‘in excess of £350,000 a week’ and this ‘makes him the highest paid player in Liverpool’s history’.

Excellent, VVD was their highest earner on £200K a week, has to unhappy bunnies in the camp now....................

Hopefully they will implode.

Re Salah und the upset apple cart. Re Dick Van Dyke.

VVD is overhyped He is dead lucky he has a good midfield and attack ahead of him. He is a Row Z defender rarely challenged. Against City he always does a row Z and reorganise. Looking forward to the mood swings at scouse2 now Salad gets his just desserts.

100% VVD will want more. And the last week we've been told by the media what a bargain Diaz and Nunez were in terms of salary as they were both on circa 100k a week. Well if they both do well next year and we were told every fucking week how brilliant Diaz adapted to the PL, then guess what will happen. They will want new contracts as well

The dippers knew if Salah didn't sign then they'd lose him for nothing and from January onwards he wouldn't be trying too hard for fear of injury

Big mistake giving in to Salah. He's the wrong side of 29.

Diaz played 19 games domestically since January for the scousers and scored a whopping 4 goals and got 3 assists. Dog shit. The myth that he was class since arriving at Liverpool is laughable.

Possibly not much difference in us giving KDB 5 years at a similar age and salary

Salah's game is more susceptible to age than KDB's imo. Apples Vs. Oranges.

What ? Tin tin is a machine , totally different players and Salah is really good at shooting at the goalie just like Razza.

Tin tin is a modern Colin Bell. Drives the midfield . Salad sits on his arse until a ball is hoofed forward to him. Like tranny he's walking around most of
the time . Tin tin is always moving.

Not saying it was wrong to give KDB the contract he got. But he isn't without injury problems and his was a 5 year deal whereas Salah's is 3.

Obviously forwards are different to midfielders in their longevity. But Salah is still a very good forward as sharing the Golden Boot last season testifies. 3 years contract isn't outrageous and they can always sell him in 2 years. I'd have preferred him not to have signed myself

Remember Lee one Pen ? How many penalties did Salad take last season ? golden boot my asre , IF he had a golden boot , the chances he missed would have taken Scouse2 to the top of the league easily. He is lucky , a diver and in my opinion just an above average winger.
