Alvarez has everything to eventually be a City Legend ,he has more tools in his box than Haaland does and that's no dig at Haaland, who will always score goals for us ,but Alvarez is a better footballer IMO.
His eye for a pass is top notch and he links up really well in tight spaces. I said he will surprise a lot of you and I believe that now Ive seen him play for us (Ive seen him many times playing for River Plate) ..albeit in 2 games....you just know how it will go for him in our team.

Early days but we have a gem on our hands.

He's an upgrade on Jesus, fantastic at pressing too.

Defo an upgrade on Gabby so that is a great start. Hope we can develop his talents further. I'm looking forward to seeing him play for us more than Haaland which sounds ridiculous but we have already seen what Haaland is going to bring- goals and space for the rest of our attack Alvarez is currently under rhe radar but not for long

Just wondering, do people think Alvarez will get much playing time this season?

I think he'll get loads, perfect alternative to Haaland and there's no way he'll flog Haaland to death.

Think he will start before Haaland initially. Seems Haaland not full fit. Looking forward to seeing him

I can see him playing wide at times, even when Erl is in the team.
Also a 352 is possible with both of them. Pep did it before.
Also as said Erl won't play every game.
There will be plenty of playing time for him.
