Agee 100% - all the noise is being created by Silva & his agent along with their accomplice Pep. I might have dreamt this but didn't our genius manager say in a PC a couple of weeks ago that Barca would find it impossible to buy Bernie? The club have now clearly briefed Martin Samuel and there is a denial of last night's "€43m agreed fee" story out there this morning but it doesn't alter the damage done to the club by these two buddies.

I can live with him going, just this circus doing my headin. In fact I hope we flog him next summer even if he decided to stay and go all out for Bellingham, in fact we must for his age, talent and most of all to piss off the vermins.

Ps I can't stand Barcelona, dare I say they're becoming worst than the rags!

If Barca can get Bernado out of City we can get Bellingham out of a selling club like Dortmund in my humble opinion.

I thought McAtee was a Foden/David Silva type player rather than a Gundo or Bern?

Plus we know that our players legs could be hanging off and Pep still wouldn’t put a kid on, as we both found out when we were calling for one of the kids to play fullback last season and Pep played Fern there.

Don't think they fit into boxes. I wouldn't have said Foden was a Silva-type (is anyone?) but he can be very adaptable, he has to!

I haven't seen enough of Mr McAtee but I do know that a loan usually precedes an exit at some point, so we may have to discount him. At 19, if Pepe had any interest, he'd be in our squad now.

Rico Lewis though, what's he up to? Shame Doug left us.

Rico was on the bench on Sunday I think. He must want him around the first team this season. Makes sense he learns from Walker as much as possible because I imagine the full-backs role in Pep’s system is the hardest to learn for a kid.

When I saw him on the bench and past the 'who the fuck is Lewis' moment (though I had heard of Rico before and didn't connect) I looked him up and the OS seemed to think he was midfield or defence. Hopefully he's 'got it' but then again Pep does this with people and then they disappear

Bernardo from today -

“I've always said that I'm happy here but I have no idea what's going to happen. We'll see, honestly. My relationship with the club is very honest. I've been open with them and they know what I want.

"If I stay, I'm very happy and I will always respect this club and give all my best. If not, it's football and we'll just see what happens."

It's a big club and they don't want players who are not happy at the club,"

They always say to all of us that if you're not happy, you can go. Of course, they are in business and they want the right amount of money for letting us go but personally it's a relationship with the club that is very respectful.

"They have always been honest with me and I have always been honest with them. As I said, I will always respect my relationship with Man City, with the fans, with the staff, with my teammates so whatever happens, happens and it for sure will happen in a very respectful way."

Also Bernardo from today:

"We know that in the last five years, we won four titles, but we're a team that wants to look back in 20 or 30 years and wants to be remembered as one of the best in the history of the Premier League. Winning four times in five years is great, but if we can win five in six years, it's even better. We've had some new signings over the past few years, the energy is good and we're still hungry for more."

"When you have new signings, you never know what's coming. From the weeks we've had with the new players, they are really nice guys, and it looks like they have a hard-working mindset. But it's new. The team is different and they're going to have to adapt, and things are going to be different for all of us. Hopefully better, but we'll see. We'll try to do our best to maintain the level."

"The dressing room is really good here at Man City. I've had some bad dressing rooms in the past and this feels good, to work with nice guys, to work with people who are nice to each other and who try to push their teammates to do as well as possible. It's always easy to go to work when you have nice people around."

"I'm getting older and I know all the guys, they're big friends of mine. Of course, being there for five years changes the amount of impact you have on the dressing room than if you've been at the club for six months. Definitely being there for a long time, I know everyone at the club, all the staff, and it feels really good."

"I'm much better. Much better, honestly. It was tough because for us foreign players because when we had a day off, I used to go to Portugal or to travel to visit friends and family but for one-and-a-half years, nearly two years, we couldn't do that. It was tough for me and for my girlfriend, Ines, but now it's back to normal and it's much better."

So he wants out if Barca come calling basically. But equally if they don't he will give his best until January

It is very easy indeed to pick a few selected quotes that push your agenda and remove the context of said quotes and all other comments that don't happen to fit your narrative. Twitter arseholes do this all the time.

I picked out all the quotes that were in the MEN article. I don’t think what you’ve added makes too much of a difference. He’s said he likes it here but he might move. In the one I quoted he says he’ll be respectful and he doesn’t want to ruin anything with the club. Not sure how you possibly saw it as negative or suiting an agenda.

Where the fuck do you get January from out of that?

Just that if he has been told he can go next summer, then most players in that scenario aren't giving their all as they have one eye on the move. Is he going to be as hungry? I'd suggest not

silly reaction.

The quotes above seem to be very reasonable from a man who comes over as thoughtful and intelligent.

He clearly respects the club he plays for . Nobody on this site knows whether Bernie is unhappy at City or not.

My own take on it is that we're pulling Barcas plonker.

No need to sell- we've commited to a Charity game ... get it over and play footy in the Prem.
