Nice arse on that lass in the middle.

Is that first photo the Kippax from the Platt Lane side? Or the Main Stand form the North Stand side?

I used to go in the Kippax near the North Stand so I never saw the ground from those angles.

In the Kippax where I used to stand, a couple of girls in leather jackets and very mini skirts used to stand near the back next to the gangway thought they were lovely, I was only 16, memories hey

It's the Kippax from the Platt Lane side in the1950s I think - I always went into the Kippax through the the middle turnstiles so not sure like you -here's a 1960 aerial shot which might assist and also evocative queue pics from a bit later

Scoreboard end
after 1975 the scoreboard end terraces became the all seater North Stand reducing ground capacity to only 53,000!!
