going 'early' with the match thread as there is no build up one....

just seen that copenhagen are 6th in the danish league having played 11 - winning 5 and losing 6.

i expect nothing less than double figures from us this evening now.

Our bald genius has been digging out Mahrez - "he must improve his physical condition" alas the price of a new contract perhaps...
here's 40+ mins of Open Training

Heads Up - the EDS v Copenhagen is on City + at 3pm

Mahrez better put a shift in tonight - he's on a warning it seems

Can’t grumble with that line up

Fancy us to keep their keeper busy

5-0 Alvarez to score first

Going to regret running Haaland into the ground at some point.

Assuming he’s one of the players that has the bonus per matches played that we have to keep basic lower

I had a think about this mate and he's the most economical player in the league so once he continues to be looked after the way he seems to be, he can start these matches and come off within the hour/half time.

He starves goals and he's going to have a whole month off in about 6 weeks

He'll be sweet to play atm imo

He wants goals and stats and we need to win the group early

Anyone going to dortmund btw? Got spares if needed

Got 6 weeks off soon. Also I suspect he's record orientated and would be grumpy when left out. Pep knows there's time for that later

I think you have got it there, the fact he is not playing in WC means he will not be overworked before Boxing Day return

I think he said one of the reasons he joined City was rotation i.e. he was not going to be burnt out early in his career. So he will be closely watched and managed. No chance City will overload him.

Haaland only started 21 league games last season because of injury. We need to be careful not to burn him out. Like people have mentioned, the WC is probably a factor in not resting him.

But we need to be careful because towards the business end of the season last season we were on our last legs. We need to learn from that.

Catch 22 with Mahrez. He gets better after a few games. No games, no good!
