Bbc says Klopp needed something to silence the noise and Rangers obliged as the very mildest of opposition!

Hard to judge Liverpool because Rangers were so poor and it was highlights but:
1. Nunez missed three very good chances in the first half. All on target but all saved by the goalie. He was anything but clinical.
Did not see any smart link up play from him either. Early days for him and he has not played a lot so it could be rustiness.
Liverpool may have bought a good or even very good forward but he is not in Haaland's league. In fairness who is.
The media hype before the season started and after the Charity Shield placing both at the same level looks absolutely stupid at the point in time.
2. Salah looks ordinary. Nowhere near the level he was playing to a year ago.
3. Liverpool's defence still looks dodgy. After 75 minutes Rangers made changes and actually tried to attack. They could have scored twice.
TAA was MIA in defence again.
Based on tonight's performance and the level of opposition, Arsenal must be really looking forward to Sunday's match.
It will be interesting to see how Liverpool cope against this young energetic Arsenal team.

Watched the first half as I wanted to see just how big the gap was between the two teams. Rangers were shite and could not get up the pitch. Scouse had four up top, Nuñez as mentioned missed a couple of good chances but credit to the keeper as well. Commentary advised that Nuñez was a work in prigress. I cannot recall that being levelled against our Norwegian goliath.
Big game for scouse against the Arse, let's see if they turn up or fold like they did at the swamp. Scouse then go to glasgow which will be not be easy with the crowd on them before we rock up

Palmer was injured from January until April last season - 93 days out with recurring foot injury. There is some utter tosh talked on here.Nick wrote:Sideshow Bob wrote:sterling clean through on goal against milan, can't decide whether to shoot or pass, loses the ball. like clockwork.
