His display tonight was about as poor as a full back can ever play. He has qualities in forward positions but as a full back he us absolutely awful. I am amazed at the praise he gets, I think he's dire.

Best full back in the world my arse.
Never was, never will be.

His forays into attacking areas and his unpredictable crossing style make him perfect for us but he'd bomb in any side that plays more conventional formations.

Agreed. I think, going out on a limb, that he's as poor a full back as I've seen in this great club in 10-15 years. Again, has some moments, great ones, going forward, but his general play is utterly dog shit. Baffles me the praise he gets. His display tonight was egregiously dreadful. He wasn't alone. I thought KDB, a player i adore, was shocking, for example. Mahrez though...Leicester...the great return...

We've seen again how one brain-fart can cost us. Was a red no argument. We cannot control VAR calls but we sure as shit should not be going down to10 men for 60 mins plus
Luckily we have red scouse to focus the minds and we move on

Would the game have been different if rodri's goal had have stood, like the rules state it should?

I'd wager it would have been completely different

Muy bien Sevilla gracias
Was not expecting them to get anything there. Avoid defeat in Dortmund and we top the groip

Didn’t they sack the manager at weekend too?

Think that was after last weeks game. Wolves supposed to be in for him. Nevertheless, good result for us - not turned out too badly after all

Apparently, this is the rule according to the PL - although after this weekend's bollox decisions you'd never guess. Is it different in europe (genuine question)?

If the rules are the same, then bullet point 4 says Rodri's goal was ok...

We looked toothless before Gomez got found out c.f. Milan's 10 man performance tonight.
Not happy with any of that - better buck up for Sunday.

Good result considering it was 10 v 12.

Even better now that Dortmund failed to beat Seville. Job done.

Skiprats next.

Even though we play fantastic , exciting attacking footballl. It is still surprising how many refs make strange decisions. I can't believe the penalty wasn't retaken.Replays showed the goalie way off the line.

Anyway, it needs sorting , curious decisions , fouls that aren't fouls given . Tired of seeing bad refs , Oliver being the worst.

Funnily enough, they didn’t show a replay of the penalty from the side on the channel I was watching.

Bad day at the office but we dug in and didn’t lose. Mahrez is too inconsistent or rather consistently brainless - he lacks the composure in critical shoot/assist decisions.

Good to have a reality check and we ground it out. Horrible to watch though feel for the traveling fans.

Grealish and Mahrez is not the best option as they both slow us down. Mahrez getting picked is odd given that Pep says he picks on merit. I don't think he does.
