I don’t think it’s anything to do with hate. He’s clearly a nice ordinary, well liked bloke trying to play good football, it’s not quite coming off for him at the moment. There’s nothing more the wider media would like than him to fail. It’s an enormous amount of pressure to carry on your shoulders a huge price tag, look what happened to Pogba. You’re on a hiding to nothing. Pep believes in him, I certainly am a fan, I think we should expect more and in time I’m positive he will deliver. Come on Jack sort these media cunts out.

Souness, a failed manager in English football, talks about what he was taught in the Liverpool boot room, 40 years ago, says that Grealish should be doing the same things.
Pep has won 4 PL titles out of the last 5, is renowned for winning, tactical innovation and improving players. None of which Souness is renowned for. Is Souness saying that Pep should be doing what Liverpool did 40 years ago?
Grealish has been with City one season and has a PL winners medal. I don't see the problem.

The media, all you need is a hard neck and a shit load of arrogance.... you just could not make it up.

With Pogba you could understand it though. The stupid dances on the pitch, constant change of hairstyles all whilst playing shit. Grealish doesn’t do any of that.

The ENGLISH media is giving an ENGLAND international shit for no reason. Mainly absolute virgins writing for pathetic publications like the Athletic.

Grealish isn’t playing shit. When he doesn’t stand out he’s no worse than Mahrez or what Foden has been. Because of the £100m price tag people expect him every match to score five overhead kicks, have six assists and save a penalty. It’s not going to happen.

Lukaku cost the same as him and scored about 2 goals. Barely mentioned because he’s not a City player.

The last sentence is where it's at. For Grealish, read Sterling after coming to us from scouse. Only difference here is it is a WC year and the red tops are trying to manoeuvre both rashford and sancho into the squad at the expense of Grealish I'm happy with that to get him the time off as Southgate won't start him in the big games anyway

Grealish is not worth 100m, 60-70m tops. I'd pick him over Sterling though. Some of his antics brought him unnecessary attention, personally it's all blown out of proportion, just a young chap enjoying himself, unfortunately because of his price tag it always grabs the headlines.

I've listened to talkshite, don't think Souness has an agenda, the media twisted it for clickbait, he just said he's a good player but not great one, I can't disagree at the moment. However he did fall short coming across trying to give Pep advise, probably his jock stubborness kicked in and had no come back when pulled on it.

Going forward, Grealish needs to start expressing himself more, get off the safe zone and take more risks, add few goals and assists to silence the haters. He's not doing anything wrong, just too safe and little predictable. More games like the Wolverhampton one will do him wonders.

I don't think Souness has an agenda either- he's just living in the past. He goes on about the dippers bootroom 40 years ago. Football has evolved and at the forefront of that is Pep who obviously does think he's a great player so basically we have failed managers opinion versus worlds best managers opinion.
Also the if he's worth 100ml argument is irrelevant, it was a release clause and we paid it. The whole country thought he was a great player when they were screaming for him to play at the Euros.

Our good friends at MUTV central aka BBC Sport have two stories in today's gossip telling us Haaland is not here to stay. Is there a big game in town this weekend?

OFF TOPIC. Does anybody else get taken back a few pages that they’ve already read, every time they click a thread? Or the 404 when editing?

not me for the first one but 404 following every edit - goes after confirm box - if that helps. Also permanent 404 if any type of search other than of User Posts is attempted.

Not had that going back tabs on a thread. 404 when initially editing go back and hit enter aain it accepts it, UNLESS somebody has already quoted your initial post then you can no longer edit it.

Search function hasnt been working for years, WW and other owners are aware and is all part of the upgrade they wish to do.

Yes, both. (Using Firefox with adblock - not sure if this is related)

No class at all. Bitter out. To arrogant and stupid to have any self awareness after this ridiculous tweet from Saturday:

'If Gabriel Jesus was playing like he is now as a striker for Man City last season would they have bought Haaland?' :o
PL goals so far: Haaland 14, Jesus 5
Career goals: Haaland 211 games / 172 goals, Jesus 328 games/128 goals

Look at the career scoring rate for both, before you tweet nonsense that highlights how bitter and stupid you really are.

The smoke being blown up Jesus’ arse is laughable. He’s scored less goals than Mitrovic. Maybe City should have bought Mitrovic instead of Haaland to replace Jesus according to his logic?
