They’re trying to throw something back at us for the coins being thrown at Pep. They’re fuckin tiresome.

I’ve written tons about Cancelo over the last couple of seasons. Flashes of brilliance, the occasional goal and clearly an extremely talented player and going forward can be exceptional at times. Defender he is not, he’s made dozens of mistakes, usually when the pressure is on, today and RM last season being the obvious examples. That mistake today is unforgivable , head in the clouds play…just did the wrong thing, in the wrong game against the wrong player. I missed a fair bit of the second half with streaming problems. The portion of the game I did see, I thought we were playing pretty well. The disallowed goal is just unfathomable, as Pep said in the post match interview, referring to the decision…..”this is Anfield” refs regularly bottle it due to the intensity of it all and it’s always at our cost not theirs. We deserved at least a draw. The Alvarez sub at 86 mins in just unexplainable, 75 mins or even 80 would be more . Foden did not take on Milner once in 96 mins, Grealish should have come on to skin him, hey ho, we lost a football game…..cue a 15 game winning streak.

"" you and sitty
Cancelo is wank at defending unfortunately Pep is not arsed and will take that. Today again we collectively shat our pants. 2wins since1981 bottled it again.

Peps none use of subs is perplexing, Grealish should have come on and Alvarez this from a man who goes on about five subs, this defeat is awful and down to the manager not making use of the facilities available to him, the first rule of management I was taught many years ago.

Apparently they were reminded of heysel today.

And they issued this

"We will do our utmost to ensure these chants are eradicated from football altogether.”

They should have gone further and insisted the memory of it be eradicated forever.

Sorry, won't happen murderers.

Trying to put this behind, it's just depressing. I'm sure we'll go on to win the title, still, should have pummeled them, don't think we'll have a better opportunity. Not to mention they've ended our unbeaten run, it had to be this filth. Sigh

Agreed

Ederson usually comes flying over on those occasions, but not today.
