Probably as good as day as he has ever had so far in his life.

Had a really positive game

Ricos a nice name for a crowd chant. Wouldn't be the same if he was called Brian

So by that rule he could have blown after 89 minutes?

he blew bang on 3 mins
thought he had a really good game. one of the best performances i’ve seen from a ref in long time

I think I’ve seen it a couple of times, but only with us. Just like added time isn’t really played where we’re concerned.

Alvarez MOTM for me, what a grafter that guy is. Put it on a plate for his teammates and notched a great finish for himself. Some of the kids looked good tonight. Good for Mahrez that he got a goal but he needs to vary his play for me.

The 3 minutes injury time didn’t start until 90:45 and he blew at 93:50 ish correct for once I would say, definitely no time to take the corner…….now if it was any team in red and they needed a goal it would have gone on to 96 minutes at least, seen it so many times.

Some lessons learned tonight, one important one is the essential requirement for a defensive midfielder. Others are that Palmer is not ready for the first team and Dias is currently our worst CB option.

Very strange re dias

I wanted ake and dias tonight 1) because ake deserves it and has been our best with akanji and 2) hope to help play dias into form.

Really pleased with Lewis tonight and couldn't get over how poor Palmer was, great night out with a laser show thrown in .

Palmer should be ready. He's had enough prep. Had an easy chance put on a plate early on and fluffed. 2nd half he just stood in people's way.

May be the last time we see him unless Pep is going to continue to indulge him

Great game for Lewis. Scoring a goal and having a cracking game, we all know what that means: benching and play 1-2 games and that is it
Piss aside, With Walker being out and a semi-liability, I hope the kid gets more game time. You grow with world class players around you, not playing for Stoke.

Btw, we are getting PSG. Huge chance for UEFA to get rid of one. I don’t want them, had enough of playing those cheating cunts four times in one year.

I am a sucker for these things, but I love how the boys jumped on Lewis when he scored. Pure happiness.
Foden was buzzing, Ruben and Rodri also.

To be fair to Dias, he's not had a partner to build consistent relationship with, too much chopping and changing at the back. Im hoping it isn't going to cost us

Palmer was playing out of position i thought. Stick him in mahrez position and let him terrorize the full back.

Plus he’s come through the academy - he knows how we play, he’s had it drilled into him since a kid. This Gomez is okay going forward but can’t even keep his position defensively let alone defend.

Agree with this and cannot fathom why we are not giving him game time. The kid has come up playing this position and playing our system. If they are good enough, lets give them game time

Re the eaelier point on Palmee,; also agree that he should be playing in Mahrez's position wide right. He was played out of positiin last night. I rate this kid to make it but let's play him in his best position

bit harsh to say palmer's not ready just because he had an off night. how many off nights has foden had this season, let alone mahrez?? palmer's been class nearly every time he's played for us and has often made our regular starters look poor by comparison. he's earned his place with the 1st team imo.
