The difference being like when i went to Euros in 2008, we spent the day on the lash in Basel, so 0% heinken at ground got sacked off.

They wouldn't sell booze at premier stadiums if they thought it wasn't part of the match day for the majority of the fans.

Had they been honest from the outset tickets sales would have been affected, to say they wouldnt would be utter bollox.

Out of interest, are you still going out?

Infantino accusing the west of hypocrisy.

An institution that's been corrupt for decades, lecturing us on morality and hypocrisy - he's as bad as Blatter if not worse.
Not to mention this is a guy that lied to fans about the typical matchday experience until it was too late for them to make a balanced decision about attendance.

I'll be watching every single match.

Love the world cup.

There are negative stories pumped out about every host nation ahead of the world cup. I'm not arsed about any of it, just going to enjoy the football

Boycott this one. Don't watch it. 6500 workers dying is enough. Horrible. There are 523 other reasons to boycott it too.

First World Cup I remember well was 82. Watched most of them since then, but this one seems very flat, there's no genuine excitement.
The thing seems fake, maybe it will take off and be a great tournament, but I wouldn't be putting my house on it.

For the first time in my lifetime, I’m finding it very hard to get up for this. Maybe this will change when England play but at the moment I’m thinking of having a month off.

I'll watch it because England are (at the moment) involved, but it feels like UEFA and Man City - a footballing institution I despise and that treats the everyday fan as an afterthought (if it thinks of them at all).

England midfielder Kalvin Phillips won his race to be fit for the World Cup after surgery - but almost ended his chances in a freak gym accident.

The Manchester City player revealed he dropped a weight on his foot in a gym session just two days after he was named in Gareth Southgate's squad.

Phillips, 26, displayed puncture wounds in his foot as he spoke to reporters.

"If it wasn't a 5kg plate, if it had been heavier, I think it would have been a lot worse," he said.

Thought I’d switch on to see if Qatar get preferential treatment, what has just happened is even beyond my wildest expectations.

Corrupt officiating of a corrupt World Cup.
